FFXIV analogs for raiding and m+ please?

You are correct, I misunderstood his question.

The FFXIV community sucks pretty hard itself, there are just very few opportunities to ever talk to someone outside your social circle.

If you don’t know what “analog” means, then use google and stop being annoying.

Eh, Having played wow for 15 years and FFXIV since launch, I dont think I agree with that. I actively participated in sprout chat and chats in main hubs and it is nothing compared to wow. Not saying its perfect, but there are the same zonewide channels in both games.

I’d say, in terms of raiding:
Savage = Heroic
Ultimate = Mythic

O.o

That’s the most over-the-top toxic experience I’ve ever had in any online game, and when I went looking for a way to leave it seemed the general consensus was in line with my experience.

Different experiences I guess. Maybe your servers were worse than mine. The worst thing we had was people trying to party find in it and I was able to kick them out.

I hate the burger king crowns.
I legit just had someone with a burger king crown tell people to not revive me in a castrum lacus litore run last night.

And no I am not joking and have screenshots to prove it. Lol.

But yeah sometimes it is really good. Sometimes really bad x_x

I myself am a very vocal advocate for reform in the mentor system.

Extreme ~ WoW Normal
Savage ~ WoW Heroic, maybe an early mythic for the last boss.
Ultimate ~ WoW Mythic last boss.

There is no mythic+ equivalent in XIV.

Here in WoW, I once got kicked out of a Mythic+ group on the last 1% HP of the final boss.

The leader didn’t like that I accidentally pulled a mob. So, he yelled at me for a good 4 min. And just when I thought we were OK, he denied me of the loot after clearly having done all the work.

I should have reported him, but I didn’t think about it at the moment; and not like much would happen anyway.

I’d say that’s pretty toxic.

I would say that is a lie. Seeing as even if you get get the loot will get sent to you through post master.

Unless it was in the master loot era which is why it got removed and be glad it only happened one time to you.

I wish it was a lie. Straight up. My first time in the blood troll dungeon.

So, post masterloot. Maybe just nothing dropped for me anyway. But I didn’t get credit for that week’s M+ chest.

Has this happened to you? Can you actually confirm you’d get the loot in the mail? I’m pretty sure you don’t unless you actually “complete” the dungeon. It doesn’t matter if you tagged the boss or not.

I’ve tried to play multiple times and this past summer it finally “stuck”. I was never added to sprout chat ANY other time I played until this last time. I left within a day.

I wouldn’t say it was toxic so much as useless. It was like trade-chat light or completely quiet. I was on Excalibur which I think is an older community (as in more experienced) so maybe that is why.

You get loot even if removed if the M+ instance is cleared.

Cool to know. I still got nothing from that though. And I know I didn’t even get credit for the M+ stash.

This ANNOYS that sh*t out of me.
I did the last two bosses for Ny’alotha last week (Didnt really play BFA xpac) and yes it took 1 hr per boss to finish… I said point blank “these fights are overwhelming to new people.” and was crucified for it. Apparently needing time to adjust and learn in a raid makes you a bot. Its actually gross the amount of elitism in LFR that is happening.

It took you way too long just to respond to a simple question, holy shiz.
You guys get so defensive over XIV. Don’t be scared of the cute cat ladies lil wolf lmao.

I understand your question and I feel your comparison to FF is valid, regardless of if other people dont understand. Lol just wanted to let you know.

It goes both ways sometimes. I was in an M3 AD at the start of the expansion with a few friends, one of which we were helping to learn to tank. One of the dps pitched a fit and left because the tank was going slow. We still cleared the dungeon on time and this jerk still got credit as having helped clear the dungeon.

I can see how that’d be annoying too.

Is that a new change, though? Or could you always get credit?

I remember specifically that I just couldn’t loot the boss’ corpse even though it glowed yellow. It was early expansion, though, so I could be miss-remembering. I just know I was scared for life and didn’t want to pug a M+ for, quite literally, a full year.

I felt so angry and impotent at the time. Just thinking about that experience brings back negative emotions. I think I wouldn’t have felt so horrible if I had known you’d get credit for completion regardless.
