FFXIV analogs for raiding and m+ please?

FFXIV has “normal” and “savage” standard raid tiers.

FFXIV has “normal” “hard” “extreme” and “unreal” trials.

From what I can tell.

mythic raiding = savage

heroic raiding = extreme trails

LFR = normal trials

Your title mentions M+ so are you also asking about dungeons (small party) as well?

I would say that LFR is normal, but often with some encounter elements removed. So maybe less things to dodge or no adds pop for a boss on LFR as opposed to higher levels. In LFR if the group wipes (and they do) you get a stacking buff called “determination” that hopefully helps you complete it. I think it goes up to 7? I’m not sure. Sometimes LFR is pretty easy and sometimes it is over tuned for a mixed group of strangers with poor communication.

The biggest difference you might find between LFR and raiding in FFXIV are the people. I’ve been in small and full parties in FFXIV where we wipe and while there is annoyance, there is no name-calling or other negativity. In fact, there is more of a “we’ll get it this time attitude” even after 3 wipes because we are learning. It gets more ugly here over a wipe or even if a tank is pulling trash fast enough for their liking.

For small party dungeons (5 man) it is normal, heroic, mythic0 and mythic plus (some will argue mythic 0 shouldn’t be separate I’m sure). I have never heard of anyone grouping for a normal dungeon at max level so most of us would consider these as “leveling” dungeons (not sure what would be for FFXIV). Heroic is the end-game dungeons typically at the beginning of an expansion or for a new max level toon - but later in the expansion even M0 should be fairly easy for a new toon at max due to various catch-up mechanisms with loot.

Mythic dungeons? I’ll just leave this here: https://www.wowhead.com/mythic-keystones-and-dungeons-guide
I tried to find a similar guide specific to LFR mechanics on WoWhead, but only find guides on how to be a good team player in LFR.

Thank you for all this information! That honestly is a HUGE help!

In terms of heroic/mythic raiding, where would you put those against savage? I’ve heard some things here and there about mythic’s first few levels being puggable but savage I know is fully puggable in 14. Although with some struggle.

You left out the ultimate difficulty.

I think I’m missing what you are asking for here.

Are mythic raids like savage in ffxiv?

Not really but even if they were, what’s the point of the thread?

What does not really mean? Are they easier then right?

I’m trying to gauge how badly I want a mythic guild or nto.

Ok but how does FF14 fit in with that?

Oh my god why are you people so defensive and useless to answer my questions.

It’s useful to me because I consistently clear savage in FFXIV and if it’s easier here then I don’t need to worry about finding a guild.

Why, the current “titles” for them are perfectly fine and people have been using them for years.

Ask better questions, or questions in general. There isn’t a single question in the OP.

Which is a completely worthless set of data when the two games, and the various raids, are completely different.

I was trying to repress that memory. Thanks.

isnt FF difficulty a joke compared to WoW?

No but it’s hard to compare the two also.

It’s literally in the title.

Not really?

If I go to pizza shop A and order pizza with spice I know what to expect cause I went to pizza shop a for years.

If I go to pizza shop B-- there is no reason why when ordering a pizza with spice why it should be so hard to know how much or less spicy it is :expressionless:

You are not going to clear mythic raiding without a guild, it doesnt matter how it compares to FF.

Fights in FF14 are like an organized dance.
Fights in WoW is like organized chaos.

People said the same about shiva savage and yet…

Really? The title talks about difficulty in relation to guild creation? Must have missed that.

Yes, really.
