Hi all,
Which MMO would you recommend while waiting for wow classic?
I would like something with a good community and meaningful endgame. Thanks in advance!
Ps… ya im tired of retail wow and wants to take a break from it… perhaps wow will regain its glory again one day.

I still like to play GW2 from time to time, but I haven’t messed with any raiding or PvP.
GW2 is free to play, I would just give it a try and see how you like it.

Questing in ESO makes it worth trying out, it’s amazing. The world is much more immersive than WoW’s could ever dream of. ESO has a pretty good community, imo. I just started playing again and love it, I didn’t get too far into the end game before to have a solid opinion though.
We are also getting necromancers in ESO so the choice for me is an easy one.

FFXIV or GW2 gets my vote.

I like ffXiV. I enjoy having to only play 1 char that can do it all vs wows roll 15 chars to get everything.

I guess it depends. Do you want tab target? Go with FF. If you want to branch out from that, there’s quite a few options for you. The big 3 though in my eyes right now are WoW, ESO and FF.

Rocket League or Sea of Thieves. My advice: don’t burn yourself out by playing an MMO while waiting for another MMO.

FF14 and ESO are both amazing. GW2 was fun until I hit max level, I didn’t have anything to do after that point. It sure is fun jumping around on their mounts, though.

BDO - NO. Greedy pay to win.
SWTOR - Dead. Long dead.
GW2 - Meh. Boring, dead, outdated graphics.
ESO - ok but nothing too special. Skyrim is better.

They’re all free to try, try them and see what you like. Never let anybody else tell you what you should enjoy.

I’m looking at eso or atlas but first I need to check up on what’s playable in Camelot unchained and crowfall which I backed. If either are up and playable at this moment I’ll go to them.

SWTOR is fun. Story is good, especially the vanilla class quests. Sadly there isn’t much new in the way of end game currently

I wonder which one of these game choices doesn’t remove or change the story of older content as time goes on? I was playing Guild Wars 2 recently until I learned they removed part of the story from the game and that’s one of the things driving me away from Warcraft, content removal stinks no matter what form it takes.

If you’re referring to season 1, it was built in a very different way than other seasons. It was a callback to the Asheron’s Call style of storytelling, where the story updates for everyone at the same time, and changes the world all at once.
Part of me likes that style of MMO storytelling, and part of me smacks that first part of me for idiotic romanticism.
FF14 gets my vote. If you are a final fantasy fan it is the clear winner by a mile

ESO is an amazing mmo and i fully recommend it.
I love SWTOR too, but I really can’t get back into it. If you love star wars and haven’t played it yet, I’d say to go through the class stories for each class just once.

Wildstar was second best, now it’s dead like all the rest. R.I.P.
(I’d suggest GW2 though)

lol @ BDO even being an mmo you consider.
My favorite of the competing MMOs is FFXIV but if you’re just looking for something to do while waiting on WoW classic I would go with GW2. FF is more of a “it gets great later” kind of MMO.

ESO is great alternative to WoW. The world is more immersive and the community is more positive. The company behind ESO also cares more for the game than the current Blizzard team. Sorry Blizzard but that’s the truth.
GW2 is great single player game but the PvP is lackluster and they have raids but I haven’t tried them myself.
