I can’t be the only one wincing at this.
Consoles are pretty famous for being outdated hardware by several years upon their release.
So who should we believe? Someone who has the capability to draw such a large crowd (I don’t like him) or you and me who are random nobodies who wouldn’t keep a Cat from falling asleep?
I don’t know. It was considered to be insanely powerful at least until 2015 and today the newer consoles are said to have decent CPUs but idk I may be wrong.
Dude, you can’t MAKE a new character in FF14 right now. The servers are so full they are locked.
There’s 1 server open, an RP server.
That’s how many people rerolled to FF14. They can’t even host the number of players who want to play it.
I don’t remember much about the ps3 honestly. But ps4 had a bulldozer CPU that was already outdated when it was released.
PS5 in testing is running at about mid to mid high range PC of last gen parts, which isn’t bad for what it is.
Consoles get away with it by having first party games look AMAZING by taking advantage of every single thing that console has to offer (and the ps5 having the best SSD on the market)
This fake meme again?
Aside from Korthia, the questing zones in FFXIV seem much more heavily populated than in WoW at the moment. And given how many threads are complaining about the state of the game, I don’t think that WoW’s forums being more heavily trafficked is necessarily a good thing.
I’m not playing anime dance cats.
Also most console games run at medium to high settings often medium settings.
It’s stupid on their part to lock character creation, it always has been.
Just let the queue sort it out, instead they just prevent you from playing on your friends server.
If this was blizzard they would be shrieking something like, reeeee small indie company with trash servers. Lol such a joke
As much as I trash blizz for their dumb decisions I doubt I’ll ever play FF14. I just cant get past the weird narrative and the art style.
I love Square though I grew up playing FF’s on the NES and Super Nintendo.
FF has even more of a problem then wow with keeping people out in the world at max level. The lower level zones are probably packed, I’ll give you that. lots of hype around the game and a free trial all the way to 60 (which is days of playtime if its your first time through)
But once you hit max FF literally turns into a lobby game for anyone but gatherers. Much worse than wow, you queue for EVERYTHING.
There’s even a zone you can queue for to go gather >.>
That’s fine, WoW turns into a dungeon/instance spam at practically any level, especially at max level, so I don’t really see the difference.
Unless for mythics or raiding, you dont even really have to leave the capitol city.
You mean like all the MMOs?
You seem like a child throwing a tantrum.
Unless you only do LFR and normal/heroic dungeons, wow is far from a lobby game.
Nice Segue
???
Wanna do rbgs? Get into the LFG finder and find a group.
Wanna do M+? Get into the LFG finder and find a group.
Wanna do normal sanctum? Get into the LFG finder and find a group or get your guild together and zone into an instanced zone.
It’s all lobby content.
I see plenty of max level players wandering around, and because you can change jobs with your character, even “lower level” characters might just be leveling up alternate classes; that level 12 Rogue might also be a level 80 Pugilist. And while I’m still pretty new to that game, there’s a lot of side activities that don’t have anything to do with combat, which is actually pretty nice.
Competition doesn’t have to be a bad thing. If WoW’s developers look at the things in FFXIV that players like, it might help them improve WoW in the future.
