Sure you did.
That download took ages, on top of setting game up, I’m sure someone would quit 5 minutes in.
Character creation is over 5 minutes. And intro cinematic is about 5 minutes.

Even as a FFXIV fan I think this is just an absolutely ludicrous mentality to have. The opening hours of a new game should do more than enough to hook you in. This is a chief complaint of FFXIV that they have yet to fix.
It’s just that there’s so much more quality to the game as you push through its MSQ to the point that you start crying over how bad the starting experience is for newer players.
However, spending just 5 minutes in a game before deciding you didn’t like it is also completely idiotic and more just for the sake of saying that you did it.
It’s really not.
I imagine they don’t allow addons because its also on console. They do have a pretty in-depth UI customization though. It may not please everybody but it’s there.
