Do you know how depressing it is to get instantly declined because of your spec 99% of the time? They have allowed the stigma to set in so far they anyone that is a feral is practically screwed. Any other games balances their classes well and pays attention to the community such as FFXIV where nothing is unviable and no one will be toxic enough to decline you for a certain class… Why are they letting this happen? I’m literally at the point of playing a Sin rogue not because I like it but just because I have no choice if I want something even remotely close to what I have as a kitty and if I wish to continue to pug and enjoy the game alone. After all the money we give this company, ugh.

Stigma is the playerbases creation and doing. If someone is ignorant enough to act without actually knowing, that’s them being a fool. Regardless of the situation.

Honestly complaining & creating multiple threads just continues to create poor community perception. Feral is just as viable as any other spec right now.
You are likely getting declined because you’re a dps at a very low ilvl, no less. If you swap to another class you will just get declined all the same.

I prefer boomy but feral is still a good spec. There bleeds are strong and incantation is some seriously high boss damage.
Feral has always been one of my favorite specs so it is a shame to see them sidelined so much. Wish they would just give Ferals and maybe Guardians LotP again. Wouldn’t result in instant invites but it would help.

Feral has become a complete failure product

I routinely do +18’s and +19’s with pushing up to +20’s with a feral in the group. You are not “non-viable.” What you are… is not optimal. The entire problem is a player conception issue… not a game mechanic issue. It only becomes a game mechanic issue above +20’s when you’re trying to go for the top 0.01%… At that point… you’re expected to be pushing with the meta.
Does this suck for feral? Sure. But put the blame at the right place… solidly at the feet of the players themselves. Sorry you drew the short straw. Make friends, show them you’re competent, and get out and do things. If you’re pugging, then accept that you’re completely at the mercy of the community and the community perception. If that’s the case, then roll FOTM or wait your turn.
The only thing I personally have against ferals is that I know what’s required to play them well… I know that they have a relatively high skill floor and an even higher skill ceiling. That’s the only thing that makes me nervous about inviting a feral. Because I know that if the player is mediocre… then they’ll put out as much damage as a bad rogue/DH/insert other melee here. They have to fan-freaking-tastic players to play the class to the level required for higher difficulty content. Where-as a DH is just like: Hit eye-beam… We’re done here…

FFXIV has no specs and no real PvP so it’s vastly easier to balance than WoW and still they have all kinds of balance issues.

Nah, it’s definitely salt. Drez hasn’t said anything that is wrong. Feral was a joke at the end of Legion and one of the better specs & people flocked to Feral. Now it’s not the ~best~ and people are blaming their own lack of gear or skill on the spec itself.
I can promise you that if you join a guild that runs Mythic+ and does raiding and you were upfront with them and said you played Feral, then they probably wouldn’t care what you played as long as you played it well. The issue is that everyone treats this game like a single-player game with group finder. If you’re trying to pug full time as a Feral and want to blame the spec for your lack of invites, then you’re going to have a bad time.
