Feral. Why is blizzard allowing this to happen?

This right here! Bawk is right. I see people complaining every single day about getting declined for groups as every class/spec. Get into an active guild or start trying to make friends. I feel like a majority of these complaints have to come from people that never played back when that was the only option you had.

Bawk just rekt OP.

Nobody owned the OP. He obviously likes to PUG and the invites are extremely slanted in the LFG tool. How can you argue with that? Telling someone to get a guild is pointless. You think he doesn’t know about them? He has his reasons for using the LFG tool. Obviously many others do too otherwise the queue would be empty.

Have you even played FFXIV? The game where no one would take WAR in ARR before they were massively buffed? The game where no one would touch AST with a ten foot pole when they were added? The game where nobody wanted SAM when Stormblood launched? Things can certainly be unviable and shunned in FFXIV like in WoW…

~1840 feral here. All pugs. Only friends I made were people I met during pugs who I found to be decent and cool. You can def. get a decent ways with feral its just that you’re prolly gonna apply to (what feels like) ten times a rogue or DH has to apply to.

Its a really bad feeling when (if your like my case) and you don’t have a guild that wants to push as high as you do, you sorta just leave your hands to fellow pugs and their information may be outdated (lets face it, feral is garbage when the xpac lunached).

If you want the IO or w.e and don’t care what you play, you shoulda swapped classes/specs a while ago. If you are invested in feral, be prepared to grind your asss off, its slow af. But really rewarding.

It’s really not.

Like 90% of groups are looking only at your ilvl.

Once you reach a certain threshold dungeon groups will start looking at raiderio and whether or not you’re playing one of the handful of meta specs and raid groups will start demanding achievements.

Nothing is ‘extremely slanted’ in the LFG tool. People look for high ilvl players and invite. That’s it. They don’t care what spec you play as long as your ilvl is high and your score is good.

Much of what is said is correct, but this is not.

100% sure that groups look at class. Looking at finder right now, 3 groups at 17+ are asking for rogue and another is asking for rogue / DH, and that’s it.

Additionally, I have been booted again for being feral this week, heh.

Honestly it’s the other way around. Boomy single target is out of this world while Starfall is a meme. Ferals who talent for aoe will perform better than balance in that metric in dungeons at least, it’s just the lack of comparable utility and the aoe damage difference not being high enough to make the difference, and the stigma that comes with a higher learning curve on top of that.

While feral may have a stigma, being only ilvl 350 probably isn’t doing you any favors either.

What’s your mains name? Been hoping to look your feral up one of these days.

At 1850 and 17s being the lowest keys that will ive me points, I can confirm this. A handful of groups forming, 99% of them only looking for rogues/dhs

Id like to add the fuel to the flame of ffxiv. There was a period of time where dark knights werent welcome in groups or raids. After the summoner nerf to bahamut they were scarce.

There is very little difference in the mechanics and culture of ffxiv and wow. Soooo many primal fights felt like antouros and ToS.

I really like feral, and arms…=)

Didn’t read thread. But my $0.02.

It’s all about the community. Ferals are perfectly fine, and are some of the strongest M+ aoe in the game right now.

But everyone and their mother thinks they’re MDI pro’s. They think they need to be full meta for pushing their +10s and +11s. That’s not on Blizzard, that’s just players being stupid.

I’m just a casual +10-13 scrub. But some of the only times I get to Feral is when I’m in a guild group. Because the M+ PUG community is just garbage.

I would invite a feral just because they are so rare, and the few I have seen have been amazing. I have not really bothered with anything 15 or higher though, I’m guessing if you do not have a high ilv and high io it would be rough. Honestly though why invite a feral over say a rogue, the run will just be more smooth with shroud, cloak, and misdirect.

I hear people complain about being declined for mythic plus in guild chat, whenever I ask them about it, they only sign up for a couple groups, do not have an io rating showing experience, and honestly declining them is probably the right choice. (this is even people complaining who play the meta classes)

If you are low io, sign up for low dungeons, get a +2 in every dungeon, then aim for +4 and climb you way up, that is how the rest of us pugging did it.

I don’t play at a level that would be considered high enough for my input to be valid, but I do know two members of Club Camel on Stormrage, a WW Monk and a Feral Druid, both of them are top 100 world ranked for overall score, and the Feral only sims .94% behind the Monk.

Since WW is one of the best melee specs in the game right now, I’m happy with that :stuck_out_tongue:

I just want to see a blood talons rework or the other talents buffed in that row. Absolutely loathe the bloodtalons gameplay.

I will support you in a desire for an alternate path to good dps. I would still like the BT gameplay to stay though, for those who enjoy it.

Personally, I think our biggest issue right now, is that while they were trying to get us more into bite spam, they nerfed our bleeds. Now our bleeds WITH blood talons still do less damage than they did without them before.

There’s no reason at all why they can’t support a heavy bleed based dps spec, as well as the “bleeds for sustain” bite spam spec. Druids are supposed to be about options.

I really hope Ion’s words about 9.0 and how they will be going back to the mindset of “we have 36 classes, not 12” holds true.

RAH release will do nothing for Feral …have many toons …enjoy Feral the most but even when played at highest levels it only touches Mid/High in dps vs faceroll classes

Any easy suggestion which i had heard was coming was the movement of Rip/rake pvp talent to skill selection tree… Similar to the Spriest talent which applies Shadow dot and vamp

The #1 Feral in the USA has parses in M+20 that are less than 1.5% lower than the #1 Monk in the USA in M+20. They’re both in the same guild and they’re both Alliance.

The problem is, an 80% percentile Monk is going to destroy an 80% Feral. At 99% they are almost even. Feral is the hardest spec to play, always has been, outside of a short period where Shadow was a contender.
