Feral simming higher then Shadowmourne BIS Fury

So warriors are fine?

What do those words even mean lol.

Or to rephrase: What would it take in your opinion for a spec to not meet those criteria? I mean even shaman tank is playable. And literally any dps or healer class is “viable” as long as you have sufficient dps from other members to take up the slack.

In other words… that is an entirely meaningless statement. Thanks for playing

You live on these forums, you know exactly what viable means.

As for “playable”, I’m just quoting the OP. There’s nothing that makes any of the specs unplayable in a mechanics-sense, nor its damage.

I mean, I don’t think having the best gear in the game and a legendary but still being a couple thousand dps below the caster class that has been #1 for 2 expansions is “fine” but ymmv. :man_shrugging:

And it certainly doesn’t line up with what people are saying about “ARP” being this magical stat that will suddenly make warriors do 2x the damage of everyone else… And even Shadowmourne, while a substantial increase over the next best option, still leaves them miles behind rogues, locks, ferals, mages, and druids.

I live in Austin actually. And clearly it doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a buzzword you toss around to try to obfuscate the fact that some classes are obviously just radically underperforming.

I’m still waiting to see numbers.

Or just get better dear lord. We all aren’t in full bis either most of the time so acting like you all have the same bis gear the whole expansion. What is with people like you? Just sim everything in endgame gear and complain. You ARE the problem saying you will just reroll to a class that can do a little more damage when both are played perfectly. You can clear everything with warriors. Or any other class. If you need a leg to hold you up, again you suck. That’s why you post on some level 11 you suck and or don’t even play warrior .

I mean, they’re largely meaningless because they vary based on sim settings but sure…

Non-Shadowmourne War- 12712.72
Shadowmourne War - 13862.61
Afflic Warlock -15543.21
Arcane Mage - 14642.86

Does this include the munching fix for warriors?

I’m getting 14060 average sim for fury in p5 “BIS”. Not an “official” bis. Just one I cobbled together from old bis lists and pserver bis lists. This is with SM.

Yea I just don’t think the sims that far in advance are accurate.

Does it include a fix that has only been hinted at? No… it clearly does not. But that fix will also impact mages, and probably more so… And I guarantee you it’s not a 20% damage increase. It’s probably not even a 5% difference… (Looks like it’s <3% from fight club)

Btw, Feral simmed at just under 17k on the same sim with the same settings…

I agree. Should be taken with a grain of salt. But they do give some idea of whether any classes will pull way ahead of the pack. Warrior is decidedly not showing that. Even with SM they’re in the pack not above it. Without SM they’re looking decidedly average.

Earlier Sims based on pservers prior to WoTLKC release had Warriors in a faaar stronger position and formed the basis of what many currently consider the meta. But they were way off.

No you can turn off munching on Sims.

Maybe you didn’t know that??

Mage munching is a lot easier to ignore with the work around and the gain is so small it’s irrelevant, with the pyro delay WA it’s around 30 DPS increase if blizzard fixes it.

Ya thas kind of my point.

I mean the TOGC sims aren’t even out yet on mage discord.

Ah, so yea it defaults to off. So that was assuming munching is fixed. It’s even lower assuming we enter ICC as is (It’s about a 1% dps difference btw)

But also, we have no idea how they’ll fix it… or what they’ll break elsewhere in the process so…

Assuming they don’t fix it by then yes.

Mage sims has the munching weak aura kind of in it where you can add the current MS delay you’re using with pyro.

Default is 50 MS.

To better understand it the weak aura basically adds that 50 MS delay if you’re spamming pyro when fireball is being cast and you have a hot streak proc.

If you aren’t spamming pyro behind a fireball cast it doesn’t add the delay, the fix is so good it’s sub 50 DPS loss over ignite munching being fixed.

It’s just annoying using a weak aura to fix a bug.

I mean… you don’t need phase specific sims… We know what the gear looks like. The only time you need to update the sims is when mechanical changes are made.

And either way… it’s a ~1% difference. Much less than the 20% warriors would have to make up to be competitive with locks, or the 30%+ they’d need to compete with ferals, even WITH shadowmourne…

more wa bot scripts lol

I’m indifferent to the class changes what pisses me off is that they’re throwing out changes while there’s blatant bugs in the game.

At least fix the bugs first.

Yea fair. I understand it’s a “difficult bug to fix” but also… they’ve had literally YEARS to figure it out.

Druid buffs are kinda crazy. We’ll see how much of it sticks but even with the flat 5% taken off, they were still probably gonna be top or near in ICC. I’d bet money they walk it back still but I bet they still end up top of the pack in ICC with rogues.
