Mid pack is fine.

Feral right now is literally doing worse than multiple pvp specs. So not even just kind of at the bottom.

Mid pack is fine when you provide utility. When the only thing you provide is damage mid pack is a pretty bad place to be.

Heres the current DPS rankings now explain to me how feral dps is ā€œMIDā€

  1. Fire Mage
  2. Demo Lock
  3. Unholy DK
  4. Ele shaman
  5. Combat Rogue
  6. Arms war PvP SPEC
  7. Balance Druid
  8. Surv Hunter

Mid Starts here

  1. Frost dk
  2. Assass rogue PvP SPEC
  3. Destro lock
  4. Aff lock PvP SPEC
  5. Shadow Preist

Mid Ends here

  1. Ret Pally
  2. Sub Rogue PvP SPEC
  3. Enh Shaman
  4. Fury Warr

Mid would be around the 1/2 way and 22 Divided by 2 would be 11. So lets just go with + and - 2 So to be mid it would 9th-13th for a MID ranking NOT 21st of 22

Dang thatā€™s crazy. Where were you when Arms was down there for all of wrath? Also, feral is the PvP spec for druid so Iā€™d say itā€™s right where is belongs. Itā€™s already S tier in PvP anyway and is the best off-tank choice. Do you realize this thread and your complaints read exactly like ret paladins in wrath when they had the #1 healing spec and the #1 tank spec?

I mean, they could say anything they want, but sure buff feral. I donā€™t mind if you do, but either way, Iā€™ll keep enjoying the spec and class in general.

Heres the difference between Feral tank and Feral DPS specs

Feral Tank spec puts
3 points into Thick hide ( Feral DPS doesnā€™t take this )
1 point into Brutal impact ( Feral DPS puts 2 points in )
0 Nurturing instinct ( Feral DPS puts 1 point in )
2 points into Natural reaction ( Feral DPS doesnā€™t take this )
1 point in Pulverize ( Feral DPS doesnā€™t take this )
2 points into Perseverance ( Feral DPS doesnā€™t take this )

Feral DPS also takes
2 points in Primal Madness ( Feral Tank does not )
2 points in Blood in the water ( Feral Tank does not )

im not gonna talk about Feral PVP because other classes like Unholy DK Ret pally Shadow priest Enh/ele shaman all have PvP builds.

Well sure. It doesnā€™t fit your narrative that some trees are only for PVP specs, but Feral canā€™t be a great tree for Tanking spec and PVP spec, it also has to be great for DPS.

Now, donā€™t get me wrong, if they do buff feral DPS for PVE, cool. The only real downside to that, imo, is that just like Wrath Classic, people who donā€™t really like the quirky, weird spec that Feral is will start playing it, and demand buffs, becauseā€¦ thatā€™s what they are learning from SoD.

At least, thatā€™s how it appears to me, and I would opt against catering to complainers, because that is just very simply a way to create an incredibly complainy community culture.

To note, Iā€™m not opposed to feral doing more dps output in PVE. Iā€™m more opposed to catering to complainers.

The fact that druids are at the bottom is the problem they need a buff in PvE they are underperforming and having to bearweave to get that extra little dps.

Yes thatā€™s what happens when a single tree is supposed to support two roles, thereā€™s an expectation it will be at reasonable at both of them.

Maybe. While personally, Iā€™ve played/mained druid (ofen feral) more or less since original TBC, with a couple of exceptions, and personally my preference is when feral is a single tree, not when it is broken out into Guardian, but I think they are following more of a formulaic expansion class design which isnā€™t really my cup of tea.

So, you donā€™t want to answer the question? Thatā€™s fine. Iā€™ll take that as it being your preference, which I suppose is obvious. Iā€™m just curious if you think itā€™s something else.

Specs being stuck in the dumpster because theyā€™re ā€œPvP specsā€ has never made any sense to me. Why is it ok for BM to suck in PvE because itā€™s good in PvP while specs like unholy and arms get to be top tier in both?

Feral druids absolutely need a buff
They are literally the most complex hardest class in the game for melee damage
and at the same time it is the most horrible worst performing damage class.

The game is basically forcing you to pick a different melee class , if your goal is to strictly do damage and have no intention of tanking.

Druids went from being a top damage class to being the pet of the raid . A JOKE.

Warcraft logs for the past 17 weeks as stated above!!!

Well we would like to do more damage not be 21 of 22 in the damage rankings.

I believe that after 17 weeks the numbers are there and proves that Feral dps is under preforming. Then simply that blizz doesnt want feral to bearweave ( which is needed to do a little bit more damage) Remeber that was one of the main reasons they gave us OOC glyph.

Maybe next time youll read the posts to and see your answers where answered.

no Feral is Ranked #21 out 22 on the damage rankings.

In naxx they ranked #15 on damage rankings out of 24 DPS classes
In Uldaur they ranked #7

But here we are 17 weeks into the phase and we sitting at #21 of 22 only BEATING FROST MAGES in the ranking!!!

Maybe next time youll go do some research before speaking on something you clearly have no knowledge of.

Ok. Anyway, I donā€™t want to have a conversation with you if youā€™re just getting agitated and arenā€™t interested in discussing specifics.

I understand that you want feral druids to do more damage in the context of Cataclysm phase 1 raids.

I remember a conversation I had with a friend during original Cata. Interestingly, I was on my Druid then too, as it was my main and first max level I had, and we had been spamming heroics to gear up.

He said, if you want to top the damage meters consistently like I do, I know Iā€™m not the best player in our guild, just play a mage.

Lol dont try and make me look like the bad guy here because you couldnt read the comments in the post and or OG post and see the questions you had where already answered.

Funny thing is i have a mage buy my guild asked me to roll feral as we needed on so i took one for the team!!!

Also doesnt fix the fact that Feral are 2nd from last on the meters being beat by PVP specs theyre not even middle of the pack.
