First of all having a druid skin for tanks available in a new skin is very good. I know the reasoning is the “skeleton” is unique and was not availble for anyone, but skins are also “unique” from every type of MT weapon and catform druid. Not to say that you could have added an Owl form too. Missed opportunity, but ok
Blizzard’s main motivation was, as stated, the silhouette and animations. Sparkle cat is just a cat, no unique animations or silhouette so it doesn’t come back.
Exactly this.
Al sparkle cat does is sparkle. It’s not a unique form. You’ve got a bunch of others and the more unique one is actually your hidden appearance, not the one that looks exactly like every other cat, only with sparkles.
Also remember - the Balance of power questline offers some really cool kitty forms as well. They’re more glowkittens than sparkle cats, but still neat feline forms nonetheless
i like my purple tiger form a lot better personally
Sparkle cat is pretty awesome though and it does suck that people miss out on that skin.
I am entirely in support of having a sparkle cat version in the mage tower. Feral/guardian are kinda screwed as it is to be missing out on anything honestly.
Werebear is a bit more impactful sure. I won’t argue that. But still feel people should have access to a new sparkle kitty.
And not just because I want a new color either. Nope. Not that at all. Purely looking out for other people. That’s me.
I have glow kitty, so you can count me as someone who’s not “butthurt that I missed out”.
I get Blizzard’s reasoning for giving warbear back. It’s a completely unique form.
Buuuuuut feral is tied to their form just like guardian is. It feels like they’re almost punishing them for not having gotten a brand new cat form back then. Feral won’t be able to see the gear set they earn. They don’t get to Glyph of Stars their form away.
I say give them a unique glow color.
I say a stealthey kitten does not wants glow…werekitten would be cool though.
Werebear is a specific build you cannot get anywhere else. Feral has plenty of other options.
I’d be ok using the werebear frame to make like a saberon cat form… but where does it stop? Werekin? Weretree? Weremage?
I care not at all about resto, you can have your form and transmogs. I don’t care about boomie, because glyph of stars lets you live it up still kinda(…and I always use it cause ugh boomkin forms).
But feral/guardian get stuck with like…5 forms. With some recoloring sure. But still. It’s really slim pickings there.
I’m okay with not giving out the original versions, and think this werebear is a good compromise. I just think that feral getting a new color sparkle kitty to would be a good thing. So that people who missed it can at least have that.
Not going to say the game is garbage if it doesn’t happen though, but I think it’d be better if it did.
There was a talent for werecat in WoD…that form works, maybe with a little pixel polish to update it for 2021
Saberon sounds like something that should already exist as an option for Ferals tbh.
It would also be nice to be able to put different pieces of armor on the druid forms to make them feel and look more unique!
Maybe that’s an idea they can introduce in future timewalkings
Claws of Shirvallah…was name of talent that turned feral kitten into saberon. Dont remember the bonuses it gave though.
Do you mean the toy? Heck they had a werecat form in Vanilla. If you had both ZG fist weapons it was a set bonus. My hunter still has those in his void storage.
I think having Saberon as an option is a solid compromise. I really don’t understand why that’s completely gone to begin with.
Talent nuked okay. But feels like the waste of a model that’s just sitting there waiting to be used.
Foudn bonuses now…Claws of Shirvallah talent turned you into a saberon and let you cast all non-damaging spells while in the talented cat form.
Flat versatility, if memory serves. And vers scaled differently in WoD, and it was a tertiary, I think…? I miss multistrike.
edit: ‘This alternate Cat Form allows the use of all non-damaging Druid spells while shapeshifted, and increases Versatility by 5%.’
So…moonfire?
edit2: not a tertiary, it was a secondary introduced in WoD. It’s just the only one to have made it out of WoD.
Yeah it was a rip off of the one i linked above.
google ‘claws of Shirvallah wowpedia’ and youll see forms/colors it gave
This is why they really need to make a claws of shirvalla glyph
