Fel werebear ok. What about a catform?

Blizzard also said the only reason MT existed is because they had cool meaningful appearances they wanted to get into the game for every spec, so the re-release just indicates that feral druid is the only spec in the game that was not considered worthwhile to engage.

I think it was for like healing mostly and maybe some side stuff like entangling roots?

Wouldn’t be surprised. I’m still bitter about feral in legion.

“Oh see specs can’t be good at everything. Like feral is amazing at single target, and thus sucks at AoE and that’s why we won’t buff their AoE. And why they do more single target damage than [insert melee spec here]”

Followed a few weeks later by…buffing everyone’s single target damage and not touching feral until the end of the expac where they butchered it into this ferocious bite blah.

WTB bleed based feral again.

:frowning:

With the amounts of dead talents feral has it could easily be put in a few new talents that let you focus more on dd or bleeds, for both aoe and st.

But that effort…i mean a couple of hours work for a couple of people is alot to ask of Blizz.

Dat multidollah company

I liked that bleed playstyle.

It still feels weird to have ferocious bite be the biggest source of damage.

Doesn’t matter, still broke the rule. One could even argue that it would be even more of an argument to NOT bring the Werebear since its more unique.

Just bring back all artifacts.

There needs to be an alternate boonie forme that isn’t just glyph of stars. I don’t like playing boonie at all but come on the original is pretty dated and has no options like bear or cat do. At least open up the kultitan or zanda ones for everyone else too

My problem with the sparkecat is it’s hard to tell visually you are in stealth. Whenever I use it.

flame kitty is worse for that imo

Feral sucked during legion expansion and were totally unbearable . So you guys get to relive that experience . Gratz

The feral challenge was one of the easiest.

Challenge? Agatha was a joke since feral had excellent aoes

The class feral however sucked, you didn’t even see them (no stealth pun intended)

If you go by meta you will never see some classes/specs. But you can still enjoy them in more casual content, unless you are a very hardcore/elitist. I doubt it matters. Got all the mage tower skins without touching raids/mythic plus in Legion. The cat form has its uses while farming old content though.

I’ve been maining my feral druid since the start of Shadowlands. I didn’t play the game at all during Legion, and I returned during Battle for Azeroth. I’ve spent time experimenting with all the druid specs, and I think guardian is my second favorite. While I understand the rationale behind Blizzard’s decision to bring back a recolor of werebear, I think they need to go MUCH farther than that. Unless they plan to expand character customization to include the finer details of animal forms in the near future, they really need to reevaluate their position. Three of the four druid specs involve spending almost 100% of combat time in an animal form (or a sparkly blue version of humanoid form reminiscent of kids’ toothpaste). Even after devoting a significant amount of time to obtaining all of the available cat and bear reskins, there is still a major lack of customization options compared to classes that see their armor transmogrifications while in combat. We need more cat, bear, and owlkin skins, period.

Personally, I think the sparkly/disco/glow cat skins are hands down the absolute coolest in the game. I still remember where I was and what I was doing the very first time I saw one ingame. I was blown away. I dropped what I was doing and followed that poor druid around until he logged out, while squealing in delight IRL. So I was extraordinarily disappointed when I learned that the appearance had become completely unobtainable. Now I feel a bit bitter when I see someone using one of the glow cat skins.

I do think it’s important for Blizzard to keep their promise that the Legion mage tower appearances would become unobtainable, so I suggest a reasonable compromise: Make glow cat skins obtainable from the new mage tower, but in a reduced state. Just remove the extra glow and sparkle effects so that they only glow slightly all over. New and returning players would get four more cool cat skins to obtain, and many other players who have already obtained the Legion glow cat skins might be interested in obtaining a more toned-down version of those skins. Do something similar with werebear. Maybe provide some recolors of the new werebear skin. And then play around with some sliders in Photoshop and give us a bunch more colors of all three animals.

Do feral druids never go into bear form anymore? Is that not still part of their utility as a class? Honest question, I haven’t played feral in ages.

Not really no…not as part of the utility. In pvp necrolords use bearform before arena to buff health for a bigger fleshcraft shield, and to use frenzied regeneration. But every melee class does some sort of magic dmg nowadays so the armor in bearform is worthless.

Felkitty! We need this!

The feral MT isn’t unique it’s just a glowing version of most other feral skins, if you want one feel free to go get the fire feral skin which is the closest you’re ever going to get.

Understanding why they don’t want to rerelease the MT skin doesn’t mean I think druids shouldn’t get new forms. They should make new forms for all specs (including cats, of course!) and put them into the game more regularly.

What?

It adds the tiger form. Not sparkley at all.
