Got to level 67 and now I’m starting to feel squishy as I keep dying. Anyone having this issue?
I’m sure there are some that will disagree, but I still feel squishy at 70
Yeah, I’ve been dying so much.
Yes, they’re very squishy in pve and pvp. You’re going to have a very hard time soloing some stuff.
My thoughts on improving Evoker these are my changes for evoker check it out.
I do agree they are way too squishy for a 25 yd range caster class lmao.
I haven’t found them squishy at all, you just can’t face-tank anything ever. I just solo’d the 5-man AoA a few minutes ago with heavy kiting and mobility and haven’t had issues with anything PVE-wise.
PVP we are “ok” but we will lose to specs like SP and Lock because they can just passively DPS while self-healing for so much, we either loop them into a kill window or die.
Definitely a bit squishy if you try to face tank stuff. Get forger of mountains talent, gather up a bunch of mobs then Landslide them. You can then basically aoe them down to zero while they sit in a root. Kinda wish there was a talent for soloing that resets/lowers the CD of Landslide when you get a killing blow, it’d help a lot.
Use defensive and heals liberally, they’re short cd. When all else fails pop Hover and kite. It’s kinda like mage playstyle in solo as opposed to tankier/pet casters like warlock.
Not so much as face tanking, but even trying to solo a mob of 1-3 NPCs is almost hard without any help.
I had a little problem with that, but realized it was due to being under geared, which can be quick and easy to do by accident. Went from having trouble with a small group to rolling elites solo with some gear upgrades.
Are you talking about getting geared at lvl 70?
I didnt find it squishy when leveling, my evoker is max and fully geared.
It lacks emergency buttons like on my mage ie nova blink or iceblock with its full heal. Dev just lacks buttons imo you dont have answers to lots of things especially during our long utility cds in compairson to other casters
I haven’t found that to be the case. What I do find irritating though is that I often find everything on cooldown and can only use azure strike. That can be a bit frustrating. Our CDs are too long.
Agree. AoE wise we have only azur strike that we can spam and it’s only 3 targets.
Other classes can spam aoe on all targets not just 3 and have shorter cooldowns.
Something is missing here like a arcane explosion?
I’m a returning player and started an evoker, I’m 69 currently and just feels like I can’t handle but one mob at a time. I am super squishy, just quest geared with a few dungeon pieces, not sure what I am doing wrong. I see some others killing groups real easy.
What’s your hp?
No, I was 67 when it dawned on me that I hadn’t gotten too many notable gear upgrades. Snagged some stuff from a friendly leatherworker for a bunch of potions and I’m doing much better now.
127k. one on one combat I’m ok but when I’m mobbed by 2-3 primalists, I go down easily.
That could be it too. I’m trying to follow the stat priority when it comes to upgrades.
Sometimes you just have to run and hope mobs don’t catch you. It’s even better if there’s a cliff or something nearby (which are a plenty in dragon isles). That being said… maybe your rotation as well?
Not sure, but I’m gonna spam dungeons for gear and see if that helps.
