Note: I would link this in the PvP section but it was to broad in my opinion to link in a certain section of the pvp topics. If it had let me just post it in the PVP section and not have to choose a particular one I would have posted there.
One thing I think needs to be adjusted is the starting item level of honor gear. Honor gear imo should start at ilevel 197 (so instead of 7 tiers it reduces it to 5) since Korthia gear starts at ilevel 200 anyway. It will also cut down on the grind of honor needed to upgrade honor gear on alts in general. 7 tiers is just to much. I mean 5 is probably to much for either honor or conquest gear but lets take this one step at a time. It also make sense to start it at 197 since honor gear last season capped out at 197. Why make it lower than the highest tier of last season? We already know the power gap levels that are a major issues.
Honor tokens, and this has obviously been suggested before, should be able to be converted to honor. Right now they are good for BG food/positions and transmog of old sets. I know personally at this point I have nearly every set for ever class that has existed for pvp (minus vanilla because of the rating requirement). This could be used as a catchup system for a currency that overall doesn’t have much value and will allow people to gear alts quicker and get them into rated content and be able to compete faster.
Will also link another suggestion I had for good measure: Feedback/Suggestion Battleground Bonus Weekend
Thanks!

Gear from pvp has been woefully underwhelming. The fear blizz has is that if pvp gear is even remotely attractive to pve players they will lose the plot and throw tantrums because they feel “forced” to pvp, even though pve gearing options have typically always been superior.
Alas, the pve crowd are the majority and what keeps the game running, so blizz caves to their demands all the time. I don’t expect this to change.
Funnily enough when this game was healthier and had way more subs PvP and PvE participation were equal according to the devs. They were also pretty much completely separate with PvP stats (or scaling ilvl) and nerfs to certain pieces of gear keeping overlap between the two modes from really happening.
Then after Legion I guess the newer devs decided to just forget or actively avoid what made PvP so popular in the past and now we have the systems of BFA and SL which are absolutely awful. Maybe one day they will wake up and realize that PvP can be really popular again with a few easy changes, but who knows when that could be.

Meh I just lost interest in pvp. To be honest instead of upgrading the gear just let it have max gear level like in the old days. I hate the systems that stains it.
I would be very grateful for the ability to keep upgrading honor gear to 239 in pvp. I would also be very pleased if there were no renown restriction, especially since the current one kept people from getting gear competitive with m+2 vault rewards for two months.
I don’t know why they think the lowest conquest gear needs to be higher than the highest honor gear. I think it’s okay and probably even better if there is some overlap.
Someone had this interesting idea. Pvp ilvl stays static for all gear. You’d have two levels, honor and conquest. But you upgrade it and it scales only for world/pve, so the inverse of what it is now.
I like this infinitely better because then you’re eliminating gear gaps in pvp while also making them earn pve ilvls while doing pvp.
i’m not reading this, but unless it’s WoD gearing exactly, it has no place in the game.

I love when people say “I’m not reading this” then have feedback. I loved the WoD style of gearing as well. They already teased us with it for 9.1 and then released nothing like it minus the gear scaling. Which wasn’t even why people like WoD gearing. I am just giving suggestions on what we have to work with.
