Feedback: Shadowlands Personal Loot

Leggo memories is where im at issues. Trying to get a good one for blood but torg mort trolls me with watchers boss. Halls isnt a promised drop…niether is arena. The best one i cant even get yet cause its off stone lords in raid i cant do yet.

Your guild is your bad luck protection, drops you dont need they might.

My guilds normal nathria farm run this week (2hrs for all bosses as we have our strats down now). I got 3 gear pieces needed 1 of them so traded the others to other plate wearers, and I got 1 chest plate that no one else needed for my frost spec (pvp and current raid spec although I am dabbling in unholy now).

The loot shortage is by design, we got too use to BFA raining down loot on use for almost two years. Even if almost all of it was nothing more than scrapper material  So they tuned it down for SLs and I don’t mind. Honestly think back to BFA and tell me what percentage of the loot you received did you not DE, sell or scrape?

I know it sucks when you run a couple of instances and get nothing…

It was initially bad for me but I’m getting used to it! Have been pretty casual but nearly 200 on both characters i’m working on.

I just feel like if they are forcing personal loot, and cutting back pretty extremely on the amount you get, they should have made trading loot a little easier.

And yet I continue to spam tank 10’s (almost 30 so far) and am sitting at 195. Sucks that I have to think for my group, plan our route, ensure we get enough % and I’m rewarded with S H I T.

Ahh shucks  good luck man.

Increased loot drops is appreciated and I think that is most likely to happen . Since complains of poor drops is coming from in game players as well. It is very audible as far as player Feedback is concerned .

It would be so much better if only they had some system where you could roll for loot again on a boss. Maybe just as a bonus each week. Maybe a bonus roll or something. I dunno.

This sounds strangely familiar.

There is one MVP who has a…ahem…reputation. He gives all of them a bad name. The rest seem reasonable.

Stop being spoiled by BFA, there’s no reason you need to be full geared because you ran 6 dungeons and a raid, literally all of my friends and guildies and myself are around or at 200 ilvl without having to spam content day in and day out

Honestly I really like loot drops as they are atm, just supplementation by some kind of badge/valor system would make it infinitely better to me.

So 2 drops in 8 boss kills is considered “bad” by you?

I honestly just want to be able to trade loot regardless of ilvl. I full cleared CN normal and all I got was this ring with my worst stats that I couldn’t trade to a guildy who wanted it because it was a 6 ilvl upgrade.

im convinced that blizz’s current philosophy is to nerf fun

I believe I know the one you are speaking off, but this mvp is actually addressing a problem with a solution, that why I like him…

The other is basically saying we’re all wrong blizzard is great…

while I agree that loot could do with some SLIGHT tuning, not back to BFA levels, but some slight improvements would be nice, like buffing raid drops from 15% to 25% like we had the first week due to the “bug” but that 25% actually felt okay. (M+ has 20-40% loot chance depending on if you time it or not, so 25% would at least make it competitive)
increase the scaling on world quest drops for people who are catching up by a little bit. (yes this is tied to covenant renown which does act as a catchup mechanism of sorts, but even with that its lagging VERY far behind)
Give us back re-roll tokens, that way we can at least target drops from bosses or dungeons we need.

Doing that should help fix the issue without everything becoming massive loot piñatas.

other than that though, i think reducing the loot was a good move overall, they just went a little bit too far with it.

There were still upgrades even if they weren’t bis, and those DEs would have saved me more than 100k g this expansion already.

Instead PVP has become the go to for gear to get out of the droughts, which really sucks when you really suck at PVP

I will never understand people who want to have to grind more. If you want to run more dungeons just because you like doing it… then keep doing it. If you wouldn’t run the dungeons without the loot from them then that means you don’t actually find it that fun. Why do you want to be forced to do something that isn’t fun enough that you’d do it anyway? Personally I like running mythic+s for the challenge and I already think of them as not dropping anything. But I don’t run any mythic 0s to gear up because the drop rates are low and there isn’t a significant challenge.
