Feedback: Same-Faction Battlegrounds Test

It’s called training. We’re not killing each other when it’s same faction

I am done. Canceling my subscription. Thank you Blizz. Choosing to play alliance is a self inflicted punishment and Blizz will do everything to make it worse for us.

Yes, if you want to put it simplistically than I guess you can take it that way. What I am saying is this is feeding to the faction imbalance. There were quite a few other options to help fix this, and this would be one of the worst possible. The same could also be said about your response. “Literally* you think we should be gate kept from honor”. In a faction vs. faction game, that would be the point yes, you just don’t like to have consequence for your action and expect Blizzard to step in to hand you things. Add incentive to the other faction. I also doubt you camp anyone of skill, and you probably haven’t passed 1800 which is why you rolled FOTM warlock for TBC.

60./40??? thats hardly a terrible ratio. you expect 50/50 or nothing? LOL

You are incorrect. Americas PvP server ratio is currently at 40/60 on ironforge pro. Keep in mind this data is only collected via WCL (PvE) and is no way close to accurate data on full population or relevant to this issue. We’re looking on PvP’rs and not PvE here.

The bigger issue is this absolutely will have an even larger effect on these balances. This is realistic, not an exaggeration. It’s really not hard to understand. In TBC we know horde have the superior PvE racials, we also know outside of maybe gnome warriors and select use cases for human rogues, horde racials are better in PvP. That is fine. Large amounts of this population imbalance came from new/returning players boosting horde knowing it was the better faction choice. There is currently 1 reason to continue to play alliance as a PvP’r and that is queue times. With this change there becomes no reason to continue to play. As I mentioned I don’t think anyone should have to fully reroll to enjoy the game, all my friends I’ve made throughout vanilla classic are playing alliance and wouldn’t want to go through the trouble of rerolling. I don’t think horde players in the same situation should have to either. So the clear option is to open paid faction changes. Player created problem requires player specific solutions. You’re going to see a very large exodus from alliance or players quitting the game. Many of you will say “you won’t be missed” etc but what good does that do? Why can’t we give solutions that will be enjoyable for everyone.

20,000 people isn’t a lot or what? It’s easy to smooth brain and look at the ratio, but when you look at how many people that actually is it’s completely unbalanced.

As someone who played alliance exclusively from vanilla until WoD and then really only dabbled with horde a little during wod and didn’t really play both factions until legion, I disagree. The alliance have never been so disadvantaged that they were incapable of ever winning.

This is just typical forum doom and gloom. This system is great and other than not prioritizing opposite faction games like it should, seems to be working like a charm.

Why not just disable Racial Abilities in PvP? Makes for sense

Your cancelling because others get to enjoy bgs as well? I’m calling your bluff you spent the last month grinding to 70 and collecting your free BG gear you ain’t quitting. Get ready for that pvp gear advantage to disappear real quick.

Not in context no.

20,000 vs 40,000 sure, that 20,000 difference is a lot.

480,000 vs 500,000 that 20,000 difference is very little.

i agree with #1… although in other games where we could communicate with opposing factions made for better communities in the sense that people got branded with being this or that (sorry, i can’t think of the word i’m looking for; my head’s cloudy from just waking up).

the second, were you pugging or joining as a group or raid? it could be the possibility it groups raids first, then pugs to fill in games as they queue… not matching using a MM or anything.

This is an AMAZING change. We can finally play the game. thank you blizzard!!!

This has been great, I feel like as a horde player I can actually play the other half of the game (and gear up accordingly). I’ve had more BGs pop in the last few hours then I had all week COMBINED. Not even a joke. AND out of those only 1 has been horde vs horde, all others have been against alliance. This has been great.

Ok but the population is 60,000 to 40,000, not 480,000 to 500,000 I don’t understand what you’re getting at.

This is an amazing change and I’m really happy that the horde are able to play in PVP without long queues. Thanks blizzard!

I am canceling because I enjoy world pvp and this change will make it even worse for the alliance as there is no reason for anyone to roll alliance now in pvp servers.
It’s just amazing how Blizz instantly caters to Horde complaints. You want instant queues? Roll alliance, that’s how you fix faction imbalance, not through this BS change that wasn’t even part of TBC

This is absolutely awesome! The games are fast pace and fun. I feel like I’m able to enjoy one of my favorite parts of the game again. Really hope this becomes permanent.

I mean, it’s not. Ironforge pop or what ever it is, only shows data from warcraft logs, so that’s missing a large portion of the player base. AkA it’s only a sample size.

long time pvper here on alliance, ranked to 14.

i feel like any feedback provided by this thread is 100% biased in hordes favour. of course its going to be good, anything is better for them than 1hr+ ques.

can you please look at the long term reprocussions this will have on the alliance faction. it feels like there is no incentive whatsoever now to play alliance.

they have better racials for pvp in general.

they have the population advantage

and now they have easy honor gains.
