Seeing people say that they are getting alliance vs alliance BGs… how is that possible? I was under the impression it would prioritize horde vs alliance first and if that’s the case and the horde vastly outnumber the alliance we should never see this? Or is this test functioning differently than previously stated?

I refuse to fight and kill fellow Horde. I now identify as a conscientious objector and will not participate in war against my own people. Having killed hundreds of thousands of alliance over the years I refuse to murder my own people.
This “war mode” does not belong in Classic. Open up one way faction transfers on population imbalanced servers instead.

Faction balance is an issue. There’s a reason faction balance is off. You have many different paths to address this.
THIS DOES NONE OF THAT.
This is a stop gap to help players play the game. That’s cool to do, as a stop gap before you repair the actual problem.
This is like rolling into a repair station with a car on fire, putting the fire out and saying “Job well done!”
You need to address what’s causing the car to burst into flames. Any stop-gap measure that doesn’t come with some assessment of what you’re going to do to solve the actual issue is disingenuous and feels short-sighted.
In this same vein, you need to be vocal that you
a.) Recognize this is a problem
b.) Plan to address this problem
c.) Give an estimate as to when you are going to being addressing this problem
and ideally
d.) Give some thoughts as to how you’re going to address this problem

You’re messing up faction balance even more… give horde amazing pvp racials and then make no downside. Most PvP servers are already horde dominated.
Even things out, give alliance 10% damage/healing/health buff in all pvp. Horde claim they are better and this will help balance.
PS
This is not the TBC experience. I played horde in the original TBC and I remember people leaving their groups and (kara) raids when their queues popped. That’s the real TBC experience.
But since you are adjusting it, incentivize alliance play by the recommended pvp change. Make resilience 20% more effective when fighting horde. Make reputation faster. Make everything cost less.
These are the unseen advantages of being on the dominant faction. How do you not see that there should be some disadvantages to playing horde?

The truth is, alliance can’t offer any significant feedback during the test window because the effect this has on them won’t show up until later. If people trying to express those concerns ends up with their reply getting deleted, then my guess is they aren’t looking for any feedback that isn’t directly related to the test period and that means alliance really won’t have any.

the overall americas ratio is 44.6% ally to 54.4% horde. this is not a bad ratio, and it’s definitely not the sky is falling people like you are crying. from the server populations i totaled, the one sided faction servers were either rp servers or servers where we’ve heard one side was so toxic, the others left. nothing is going to change that, short of banning players or forcing new ones to rp.
grobb, the sever i play on, is even alliance advantaged, which is why i never understand people’s whining and sympathy- seeking posts. you learn to deal with most things, but when something can actually be done to benefit the game as a whole takes place, how about embracing it, rather than cry some more because you happen to be on the side that loses a certain advantage. all it does it make it seem you couldn’t hack it in retail and came to classic in the hopes of taking advantage of certain aspects, but you failed yet again.

Thank you for the fix!!! As a player who has grown up since the original TBC with less free time, I was able to do my FIRST battleground in TBC classic. I thought this portion of the game would largely be unavailable to me but now I have a renewed interest in leveling up my TBC character.

how many people you know are willing to lose battle after battle just to “min-max” honor… now manage to find 14 or 24 more just to premake. i seriously doubt it. these are the same fools that think they should leave bgs before a loss just so it won’t show on their records.
