Feedback (needs to be moved)

My sub ran out yesterday, so I wasn’t able to post my feedback in General which is where we are told to post feedback. (I wasn’t able to give proper detail in the cancellation form.)

I tried to figure out why WoW wasn’t satisfying anymore. Just “Did everything I wanted to do” wasn’t really covering it.

It more came down to “Did everything I could do.”

The issue was that I needed to upgrade my gear, but the two pieces I needed never dropped despite weeks of farming. So I was essentially stuck.

It just got too frustrating to continue.

Didn’t have the necessary crafts to make it nor the funds to buy it.

So this is where the RNG boss killed a player.

I like the way FF14 handles gear. If it drops, great. If it doesn’t, you can buy it with tomestones. That way you always know you will be rewarded if you put in the effort.

I know there is a (to me, baffling) philosophy in WoW that effort <> reward. That we are beholden to a random number generator. My understanding is that it is being made even worse in Midnight where crafted gear will only go so far, leaving better gear to the Raid or Die players. (Or high M+ players.)

So that is my feedback. I acknowledge it is only my opinion. But it is why I walked away.

Sorry I didn’t post this in General, but I couldn’t. So if this could be moved so it could be read (if it is ever read by WoW developers or whoever is in charge of reading feedback), I would be grateful.

Because you’re not a paying customer? That’s not a coincidence.

But you can still submit feedback using the in-game feedback tool, which is accessible even if you’re a non-paying (“free to play”) user. You’ll just need to tighten up the prose a bit, since the maximum size input accepted is much smaller. Advocacy is wasted space, for instance. Just state what you want. “Why” has no relevance.

That doesn’t happen, I’m afraid. But you do have the option Sniperorc provided.

To expaind a bit on what Leileath means:

THe blues here don’t move threads for feedback threads because they want the OP posting in said thread as well to give more feedback and talk with folks in the thread.
