The last time they took away pets from marks they were back before the next major patch. That’s how important pets are to a majority of the marks players (at that time). If full removal goes through I fully expect it will be undone in the next .5 patch if not sooner due to backlash. The extremely vocal minority in this thread and grasp at their pearls all they want, but history has already proven them wrong once.

Throwing bombs at melee range, next to your melee pet is unequivocally the most common sense part about “melee huntard”.

BM should have been DW melee but deactivision lost the plot.

Feedback on current changes.

1. Lock & Load needs a bit higher % chance to proc, Normal Autoshots are 3.7-3.8 sec range and with Jackpot your autoshots are in the 3.2 to 3.3 sec range and it feels like Lock & Load never procs. That is 1 ppm average. I had gone as long as 2 mins without a proc of Lock & Load. If not, consider increasing the reduction of Autoshot on the 2 piece set bonus to either 1.0 or 1.5 secs.

2. Trueshot is not applying Jackpot when pressed.

3. Precision Detonation should proc on Rapid Fire and Aimed Shot.

4. Tensile Bowstring is not currently working.

You don’t feel the loss of the pet in Open World or delves.

2 things to consider here:

1. Haste will probably have a higher emphasis for this tier set, so if you can, get some more haste while testing. The talent, On Target, can help a bit.

2. The talent, In The Rhythm, reduces the time in between auto shots by 1 second for 12 seconds. Did you have this talent while testing?

I agree the proc chance can come up a little bit.

Its pretty core to the function of the new spec. It doesn’t have to exist but you’re back to the drawing board on mechanics that need to exist.

Its a visual effect, you can change by a giant banana falling from the sky and it works the same

I would like to reiterate as well: Aimed Shot needs to have its cooldown and charges removed. Period. This is something that can no longer be discussed, it just needs to happen. It is the longest hard cast ability in the game and with this rework it is going to feel so clunky and rough and terrible having charges and having a cooldown.

Too bad you’re still not getting that. Also? If you play solo, say goodbye to the “sniper” part too. All you’re getting in solo play is “melee ranged Hunter” if you try to face tank or “squirrel on crack” if you try to kite things.

for you maybe. its a step in right direction while going down a slightly wrong road. i have hope that they will realize this eagle thing is dumb and drop it. mm doesnt need to utility from pets and can just get lust in their talent tree to make up for the loss of a pet.
