I ignore SV because:
- I like bows. SV is melee, thus is dead to me.
- SV has lost the appeal that made me like it: being a CC support goddess.
- SV still relies on pets, but I don’t really like pets all that much.
I ignore SV because:
I think that roar of sacrifice won’t work very well with the eagle as it’s written right now.
Live ros makes you crit immune, but your pet takes some of your incoming damage. Rework ros makes you crit immune, and your eagle can’t mark stuff while it’s active.
The marking function seems very core to the new marks, and it even has significant interaction with trueshot. Basically, pressing the button is going to make your damage go down way more than it ever has. You won’t be able to use it in trueshot without completely screwing yourself over, which will be a problem because there are various classes that you really need to be able to ros at specific times against.
Understandably, there has to be some kind of give and take with the button, and the owl doesn’t take damage. So it can’t function exactly the same as live, but imo it shouldn’t be this drastic of a loss to use. Consider using this as an opportunity to make ros do something completely different for marks, or give it a different button in place of ros.
ptr is finally up, yay! excited to try petless mm later today.
Hunter’s Mark is kinda clunky nowadays–used to be a solid dps buff for hunters, but now it just seems cumbersome to the point i rarely use it… feels like it should be a passive at this point since we’re constantly switching targets during AoE/cleave situations in all 3 specs.
I am still getting No realms available.
I just got in, had to exit and re-launch Bnet after the update finally installed
Testing it now and FREAKING LOVED IT !
Throwing in my voice to add “don’t take MM’s pet away”
Give us a choice if you want, but don’t take it away
First impressions: Feels great, eagle is not intrusive at all and barely noticeable
Sentinel lunar storm feels really good and works well with MM.
I still cannot see any realms, despite having the 11.1 client. Weird - time to uninstall the PTR entirely and reinstall to see if that fixes it
Tried a delve, but Brann isnt unlocked for me on the PTR. Kinda brutal without a pet or heals.
You also need to restart your Battle.net application.
I have, three times.
Pack Leader 11.1 Feedback
Initial Thoughts of early testing on Pack Leader - specifically Survival Hunter
- Howl of the Pack Leader
Pack Leader Beasts are random and doesn’t function like Diabolist. Not sure how to feel about this yet, but I think a set order (like Diabolist) would be better from both a reactive standpoint (I have a bear now so wyvern is next, so I can plan accordingly) and from a gameplay standpoint (so you dont get two boars in a row, etc)
- No Mercy
This talent doesn’t do anything? It seems to function like a regular pet attack macro which isn’t particularly heroic and kind of feels disappointing to be down an entire node compared to every other hero tree in the game. Could this add Kill Shot damage or something? As it stands now this is exactly like just telling your pet to attack your target which is like…just not exciting at all
Again, I stress this node really isn’t doing anything at all. I can’t tell if the tooltip implies it’s supposed to summon your bear for free, but it’s not doing that
- Shell Cover
Incredibly weak defensive node. Should really be reworked. The 10% DR is incredibly low for something with a 2 minute cooldown, not to mention since it only triggers at 40% of your HP this means that it happens almost always after you needed it. 10% is very low DR for any sort of rot as well.
- Bear
this seems to be doing less damage than the tooltip implies and so far the bleed isn’t doing critical damage
unnatural causes doesnt apply to this
cull the herd doenst work with this either
I’m on the PTR and it doesn’t look like the eagle is even implemented yet. I can cast ros and mc on myself but i’m not able to get the eagle to spawn on a dummy. Call pet is still in the spellbook with my regular pets but I can’t call any of them.
It seems like black arrow is also consuming both of your precise shots charges (windrunner quiver) regardless of if you’re cleaving with it.
With the loss of Trueshot’s cast speed bonus I kinda feel like it should last a bit longer. It feels too short and I prefer the old version more. For our major cooldown its kind of disappointing.
The talent on target should help a lot. Basically you’ll be chilling with 1 sometimes 2 stacks of it outside of trueshot but will stack up to 4 during trueshot because almost everything should be marking. You’ve also got to be a lot more cognizant about streamline charges and never be casting an aimed without one in TS, becasue ts buffs your streamline. With imp streamline, you are getting -45% off your aimed shot in ts. On target will be 16% haste in ts.
RF is also somehow significantly weaker on ptr.
Loving the new MM hunter rework. I think MM does need a small mobility buff/mob control buff now we dont have a taunt bot in solo content though.
Absolutely fantastic change. So happy to remove all the pet keybinds
The lag is making any proper test of the changes kinda difficult on the training dummies…
MM: changes feel alright, tried a few different builds for both Ranger and Sentinel. All seemed relatively fluent, the lost of Trueshot’s speed does feel kinda ‘bleh’ but talents help extend the duration slightly so overall it balances out
Surv: only really fooled around with Pack Lead–bit of the same ole same ole… still melee, still boring, still wish this spec didn’t exist
BM: again, only fooled with Pack Lead–seems alright, even with the horrendous lag it felt good, but i do agree about the bear, seems underwhelming in both ST and AoE
