This too. If anything that’s the one that’s annoying because gotta wait for trash to die and if the boss is single target and you want to help on trash that’s more changes.
This is a more than acceptable solution and more than I’d have been happy with.
I will simply say that the pet should be purely cosmetic. Everything single post and argument of people for the pet to be kept in had nothing to do with the pet’s damage output or anything else aside from being cosmetic so the pet shouldn’t get damage buff and durability buff, it should be cosmetic only.
Trying to balance the spec for lone wolf and not lone wolf has been a disaster for the last 10 years and it’s the reason MM is in the mess that it is today. Just make the pet purely cosmetic. No bonus to anything. That way people that RP can keep the pet and be happy and the people that care about the tuning can stop having to deal with the consequences of designing a spec for two different playstyles.
Also a reminder that you guys still have not addressed the concerns with Trueshot, Aimed Shot, Lock and Load, or Streamline.
Will you be able to double dip pet family passives by picking one in the marks tree and then summoning a pet of the other family? Can I pick an ms pet and put mortal wounds on two different things? Also, roar of sacrifice is better with normal pet. If I can have a pet out, it would be better to have that version instead of eagle version.
I love it… I personally never use a pet even solo and loved the change, but I’m glad people who legitimately had a strong bond with their companion were listened to.
You’re welcome to treat as such. There are actual gameplay improvements to be had by keeping the pet as the MM rework did not provide a single boost to the spec’s survivability.
… -I- care about tuning, and the consequences of eliminating one playstyle at the cost of another is unacceptable. This change is better.
I should hope you aren’t able to double-dip. They may need to rework that node, now that you mention it.
Thank you to everyone who took part in this decision.
Also, thank you for telling us now rather than delaying the news until Monday.
Additionally, I want to honor those MM hunters who don’t care about having a pet/would prefer to play petless. I am rooting just as hard for them, that this change will not adversely affect their lone wolfishness, as I did for keeping my pets. While I do not understand all the intricacies of coding, I do hope a workable balance can be achieved so that it is a win-win.
Thank you again. All of my MM hunters salute you, and all the pets in their stables want to give you affectionate headbumps.
The statement just means not playing with the pet was just going to be so far superior they add a lil damage buff for the pets to hold agro, there is no rly any issues
I’m super glad that I can continue to use my faithful corpse hound that I tamed back in Shadowlands! And not just that, open world content and delves will be much less of a headache than they are on the PTR atm.
Now all Blizzard has to do is find a way to incorporate Wailing Arrow into Dark Ranger and fix up MM’s rotational issues, then I’ll be happier than a pig in proverbial excrement.
