Yes, and I asked the question because the game already has 2 modes â PVE and PVP.
Maybe Iâm reading too much into this but a lot of your post seems about making PVP great again, and if thatâs the case then own it.
Technically, WoW has more than just âtwo modesââraiding, Mythic+ dungeons, battlegrounds, arenas, pet battles, and delves all offer distinct gameplay experiences. If youâre boiling it all down to PvE and PvP, thatâs like saying a buffet only has âhot foodâ and âcold food.â Also, Iâm not campaigning to âmake PvP great againâ; Iâm just highlighting that WoWâs depth is what keeps it alive. But hey, if PvP greatness is the hill I die on, so be it.
Not going to happen. Removing a fundamental and core aspect of the game to appease a small crowd when they can just turn off addons or go without using them.
While I agree that Blizz needs to focus on the basics, there are too many bad suggestions that people want. WoW is literally itâs own genre of MMO. While that has been forgotten from time to time, it stands alone for what it offers and how it overs it.
There are multiple gameplay options for every play type. Yes, some might not be someones cup of tea, but it could be someone elses. IE Not everyone wants to do M+ or Delves.
PVP has always been an afterthought to this game. Yes, it had a good moment, but the game wasnât necessarily built around it and it feels very piecemeal. If youâre looking for real PVP, might want to try the countless other games with a PVP focus.
To each their own.
Minorities and the under represented want some sort of representation in a game or any sort of media. Seeing a character that is like them changes their lives.
Personally, and this is my own opinion, I donât care what type of character that you play. Male, female, trans, this or that. Donât even care what you do in the bedroom. Just as long as youâre having fun in the game.
Thatâs the main point of this all right? To have fun. If youâre not having fun, then what is the point? Play nice, work hard for your rewards, and enjoy the finer things. The game isnât prefect, but it is what it is.
Youâre right that Blizzard likely wonât reverse decisions like âBody Type 2,â but thatâs not really the point of bringing it up. The concern is how these changes reflect a broader trend of prioritizing messaging over gameplay depth. Itâs not about the label itselfâfew players care about that in isolationâbut when these elements become the focus, it risks overshadowing the storytelling, gameplay, and immersion that made WoW great in the first place.
Mentioning this isnât about rejecting inclusivity; itâs about holding Blizzard accountable to their legacy. The goal is to ensure that the game remains a place where players can escape into rich lore and epic adventures, rather than feeling like theyâre being lectured or pandered to. By refocusing on what made Azeroth a legendary world, Blizzard has the opportunity to unite the community and deliver the kind of game that keeps us all logging back in.
I will avoid going deeper into this to prevent a political discussion.
