08/08/2018 01:20 PMPosted by FloraleeYou guys kick me out of Alterac Valley every time I leave to go to the bathroom. I try to be quick about it but i'm just not quick enough.
The place lasts like an hour or more now, you have got to give us more leeway for auto-kicking AFK if we need a break.
Please, just like 5 minutes instead of 2 or something for Epic Battlegrounds. I physically can't just hold it in every time.
Just a tip (and I do not encourage this kind of afking) but if you have to use the bathroom or take care of something real quick just go sit in a mine/bunker/Galv or Balinda. Even say in chat or something *XYZ is clear* and then go away for a little. Dog was doing some bad stuff one time and I afked for 4 minutes in a bunker and came back to it burning.

Just do step 2. I mean the wetnaps are nice and I have some for real but we aren't holding anything gross so c'mon.
O.O
The bathroom door handle?
The toilet cover/seat?
The toilet flush handle?

Don't eat anything that's been handled by Squeektoy!
Did ya miss the wetnaps part?
And yeah wash up if you are also eating (and always before anyway) and certainly before cooking. If you are doing all that, you probably shouldn't have WoW even turned on much less doing anything.
07/30/2018 02:53 PMPosted by PhalanxThanks for the lively discussion, everyone! Some updates:
Alterac Valley
We feel Alterac Valley is in a pretty decent spot. We've seen a dip in Alliance win rates, but want to give them time to re-adjust and strategize after the changes. We'll continue to monitor things and make changes where necessary.
We realize players have a passion for some of Alterac Valley's classic mechanics (Ivus, Lokholar). While we have no immediate changes to announce yet, its something we may adjust in the future.
Isle of Conquest
We've identified an issue with the Keep Cannons dealing too much damage to vehicles. We believe this is causing defense to be stronger than intended. We are going to significantly reduce the damage the Keep Cannons deal to vehicles, but still retain their power against players.
Some other additional changes:
- When a gate is destroyed, that faction will lose 50 Reinforcements. This will give offense an option of destroying more gates if the opposing team is "turtling."
- The Siege Engine will now be immune to roots and snares.
- Health of the Glaive Towers and Demolishers moderately increased.
- Damage and siege damage of the Airship Cannons significantly increased.
We hope to have these changes live soon, and appreciate your continued feedback.
Thank You!
what a dumb garbage statement by an idiot moron
Ionno if anyone has covered this cuz I'm not reading back through all the nonsense but the bombs in IoC can two shot the bosses. Should probs look into that lol
I wonder how long Horde queue times for AV have to get before they realize that a 99% Horde win rate is unacceptable.

2. Get the recall trinket if you don't already have one. Recall to base, get into Van's room and go stand in the back. RUN to the bathroom, bear down as you pee to make it come out as fast as possible and then RUN back to your computer.
AV: We need a outway from north to south like left side of icewing bunker. Maybe a Gap in the mountain with a big gap with his own unique pathway because when horde is taking Stonehart and Snowfall is already taken, its GG.
Most of the ppl at this point will leave cause at the current 600 point reinforcents rate, we end up getting farm for 15 min. Most new comer will end up, after Quing for 15min, in a loosing AV for 15 more min. Dat haz to stap !

My one question is what is being done to address queue times? i've sat in queue for over 2.5 hours at times to get into an epic BG.
Some suggestions.
1. Increase time it takes to burn a tower/bunker.
2. Increase turn in materials or decrease amount required to summon.
3. Increase the HP and damage of the Wing Commanders.
4. Give the Druids/ Shaman epic mounts.

Ever since the changes 9 out of 10 epic que's end up being IoC. Have been having to manually que for AV and those each take about an hour to go through. I wouldn't mind manually queing for AV so much except for the fact you get a lot less honor and no boxes / gear for wins. Just a good ol' pat on the back.
The changes to IoC I feel put too much power being behind whatever machine or turret you are controlling and less about actual pvp (player vs player) (Not turret or siege engine vs players or demolishers or airship cannons). But perhaps that's what you all were aiming for.
AV is going alright, except for the Icelord derping around in the middle for 5 minutes before sometimes actually moving towards their base. (I've been told this is him "charging up", in which case that charge should be more like 30 seconds, not 5 minutes.)

I've made very positive reviews of this blue post, I was so shocked to see this work. So shocked and pleased. I have slogged through the AV and Isle debacle for Horde for more than 10 years. And of course more and more, no longer playing and only visiting for nostalgia.
So I was pleased. And it sounds like you guys have the right attitude too. Small changes, observe, iterate. No more completely bias kneejerk horsecrap like moving the starting line, please.
Anyway, I've really enjoyed it. And, players are learning and adjusting, I've certainly been in a few Isle and AV losses, no doubt.
What I'm really worried about now is that you guys or whomever is in charge of this, is that you guys will lose focus and interest as players level from 110 -> 120. I can see already that this thing is going to be very different at 120. The positive start you guys have had with 110 players could be completely washed away at 120.
So, please keep at it.
Secondarily, as for Isle ... Alliance players are very much trained and very much experienced with using the glaives. They send a ton of people to docks still and they know exactly where to put them so they are firing from near perfect safety. Can well kill them? Well, in theory yes but they are quite well defended by both landscape and players.
I'm not sure what to say about that. I've tried to hunt around for perfect spots to use the glaives for the horde side. I simply have not found them. Glaives on the horde side just aren't as useful, they appear to be way more vulnerable.
am I wrong about that?

(1) you know they have the real data on this, actual stats, simply putting out falsehoods doesn't really help anyone
(2) for the most part all they did was raise npc toughness and increase kill count, there were no super secret horde buffs or extra-special alliance nerfs
(3) Alliance players have had free wins, honor, kills, marks, quests, achievs, and anything else you can get in alterac valley for MORE THAN A DECADE. You guys are ... ... when it comes to AV, you guys are lazy and entitled. It's going to take some time for player expectations, behavior, and overall effort to change.
(4) Change in player behavior is already happening. I can very much tell you from the Horde side that the fights are getting longer, the wins are getting tougher, and the losses are increasing.
I thought I'd try the epic bg queue on my lowbie alliance alt. 1 hr 31 mins in the queue I gave up. Never popped.
Ah well maybe at later levels

I think most people would be surprised to learn that they could que for AV at such a low level, it feels kind of strange.
I mean who wants to be rolling around in those big maps with no speed anyways. Mount speed it too slow and footspeed is too slow.

Nope you are not wrong about that. There is no good spot for glaives horde side, and it also hits the wrong gate. Air ship targets west side, glaives hit east side, trying to glaives on the other side is impossible, alliance turrets seem to *be* able to completely cover the west gate as well.
Yeah I'd have to agree with you.
I may have to go on this character just to see what the new AV is like, as I did it thousands of times on another toon during BC to get welfare epics lol

ugh, my god, I had forgotten that. I did that too, my guild broke back then. I thought it was just for the mounts but I did it for the epics as well. That was one whole hell of a lot of AV losses.
I don't want to denigrate BR, I do not, but at the time the BR influx and conflicts destroyed our server, raids fell apart. I actually had to transfer to another server.
(EDIT: it was a big culture conflict, not much understanding on either side)

Just before the last bridge before the small mound there is a spot, I've seen countless horde use it and turrets don't reach. Alliance do yell GLAIVES! when we see it used and 90% of the time we send something to stop it.

Didn't know that. I'll check it out, but depending on how defensible it is, might not be that great. Also, you guys never really abandon the docks, if we have it you guys are constantly on that place trying to retake it. I've never even really seen horde glaives get setup before.
