Definitely. I thought covenants would be the best chance for them to do away with factions as they are, and tie us to our covenant. All races of a covenant classified as a ‘faction’ as it were. That’s not happening, but totally something they could take into consideration.

Not an RPer. Never RPed in my life and never will.
This is just a straight up good idea. It’s that simple, allows people to use locations without fear of lockouts (Especially if they farm old raids), and obviously leaves some space for addition functionality down the road which may or may not happen.
It appears simple, it negatively impacts nobody, and it would do wonders for those who get value from it.

So I want to head something off at the pass. There will be the argument that this shouldn’t be implemented because of this. I’m going to preemptively say that argument doesn’t hold water. The reason being that you can just do it on normal and basically ignore the mobs anyway. This is just an optimization of that and allowing larger groups and hopefully a few more features.
I like this idea and would be totally down with it. Kudos for the idea mate!
Good call out! For stuff like showing pathing, it would just be a very nice QoL change.

I like this idea a lot! As a RPer but also just as a player- being able to appreciate zones and instances without the mobs is a cool idea.

I will love this to happen.
Like the much needed Island Expeditions: Exploration Mode, I fully support being able to enjoy these (mobless) instances with multiple people! Hosting guild and RP events in gorgeous dungeons that only accommodate 5 Players is a huge bummer.
I would love to have a variety of new and ready-made backdrops for Roleplayers to feel more immersed. I’ve been wanting to host RP events in massive dungeons such as Dire Maul.
I don’t see the harm in such an immersive request.
I do not RP. BUT I do enjoy exploring the world. I throw my support behind this.
Side note: in response to the person who called out that others would argue against this because of “M+ path training”… absolutely true that you can ignore mobs in normal difficulty. just the other day i soloed TD and most of SotS to complete the mul tiran allied race requirements. had to skip lord storm song, and could solo sisters in waycrest, keeping me from soloing that one, but still. also, as i was trying to find my way around waycrest, i couldn’t help but notice the details you miss when you are trying to make the timer in M+ or just rushing through to get your loot/xp. The look of waycrest manor is great. i hate the dungeon itself for the damn narrow halls and corridors when i’m running it, but the aesthetic itself is awesome.

i’m down for this. my guilds/friends have used many instances for rp, but it’s time consuming to clear out the mobs when all you want to do is go inside and get right into things

You’re actually better off running someone through in Normal/Heroic than an empty dungeon. Pathing in isolation doesn’t mean much, it’s important to see mob packs and some boss mechanics.
So this shouldn’t even remotely be a reason we can’t have this!

I think this is the coolest idea ever. You can tell the ‘zugzug’ crowd that this will help with route planning and so forth to show that it has appeal for more than just rp. Kinda like how some instances have an outdoor-unzoned version.

Another note, I for one, would enjoy having the chance to really appreciate the art and assets put into such detailed dungeons as Waycrest Manner. For a toggle that already exists, it would be great to offer to players.

Love it!! This would be great.
Look at how much this is growing in a short period of time. And all of the support it’s gotten. It makes me very happy and I’m really hoping this request continues to blossom.
Personally don’t RP, but I support this. If this is something that doesn’t effect people but allows others to get more enjoyment from the game, I’m all for it.
