Truth is, I had great teammates who understood the vision we had for reducing intra-faction competition and fostering cross-guild cooperation to help crush the Alliance. Almost every person I helped get to HW or shepherded through MC and BWL was a better player than I was. I have been very fortunate for 15 years now to be friends with great people and great players who know the value of cooperation and relationship over individual achievement and the success I’ve enjoyed has been entirely a result of them.
Tsark here, the original Mediocre Priest. In classic I was in Riddle of Steel, raiding with Hand of the Forsaken, then Chaos Storm. I am still playing with Dawn Vigil, and am debating about playing Classic - may depend on who shows up…

Let’s all be real for a moment. Anyone who REALLY played on FM back in the day, knows that FM was the secret best world PVP server. We had organized mass battles, and because a lot of people cared about their in-character reputations, there was a lot on the line.
We also had well known groups of aggressive guilds, multi-guild organizations, and individuals (like myself) who used to just spend most of the day “looking for trouble”. And we did, because there where individuals, guilds, and multi-guild organizations (like guildwatch) that would show up and fight us. anywhere, anytime.
What I’m trying to say, is that the “spirit” of Feathermoon server was a lot closer to that of an RPPVP server, than a normal RP server.
But maybe I remember it differently because I was always looking for trouble!
This might be more true than you realize. As a fellow individual out looking for trouble, or trying to stomp said trouble, I poked around various pvp servers to see if the grass was greener. Answer was almost always the same. Either a guild camped a zone, or there was no wpvp to speak of.
There were quite a few pvp transfers to FM that were pleasantly surprised at the amount of wpvp our podunk RP server had.

If you were Undead Legion, Netherbright Regiment, or the Sunguard, you probably remember your boy Kaelgrim, though I was Forsaken back then. I’ve got some RL friends grouping together for a guild at Bloodsail Buccaneers server, so if any of you folks from the aforementioned guilds are looking for a place to hang your robe and wizard hat, feel free to hit me up.
Just as an aside, seeing the greats from back then hits the nostalgia really hard. Would be great to see folks get the old bands back together again.
I am rolling with real life friends this timr around otherwise I too would join the #GrobMob. We did have good PvP on our Roleplaying server. I remember countless battles in Tarren Mill. Or later on we would form a 40man for Alterac Valley with Dukago and instantly spawn a battleground ready to win. Our Horde side cranked out a ton of High Warlords in a peaceful manner. I totally forgot about until you mentioned it. Their little gnome leader was wonderful.

I still haven’t decided if I’m going to play classic, but I reserved Samou on three servers, including (I think) Grobbulus.
