Firstly, I’ll like to say that I hate when people come in and tell others to stop playing and go somewhere else. However, a lot of those people you are angry at literally made the game what it was. We put time and money into it, funding Blizzard to where it is today. Telling us to leave is just downright disrespectful and makes you just plain rude.
Now onto the strawman of fearing women: I know tons of women that play WoW. Tons over the years. And they don’t like these women either. So do they fear women too?

People don’t like tokenism. Any character that feels like they are checking off checklists instead of being a real character will be disliked. We have had such a long time of these sorts of characters now people just automatically assume that’s the case when they see anything on the checklist. You will notice that characters from before this zietgiest all get a pass since they are already established. I haven’t seen a single person trash talk a character like Azshara or such.

Idk. We’re getting a bit into “my values overide everything else.” While I agree, I could live without it completely. It personally doesn’t effect me at all. In fact, I don’t think it affects most people, but If an adult wants to do that, I think they should be able to. Just like if we say they can’t transition, then imagine saying woman couldn’t get implants, or there should be no plastic surgery. Again, personally doesn’t effect me, but if part of freedom is the ability to do things like this within reason. Even if it ends up bad.

This is so funny to me. I mean, I don’t even get why you people make these posts. You link them to your social media profile as some kind of badge from the time you fought the nasty wow player with your forum posts? What?
I’ve been playing this game for several years. If I don’t like how things are going, I’m gonna use the forums to let them know that I don’t. It’s one of the reasons these forums were created. I spent money on this game but more importantly I spent time on it, so I’m not just gonna go straight to quitting just because some forum person decided that’s better than just bringing up the issues I have with the game, which includes the game’s story and the characters in it.
And please elaborate what you mean by that assumption, who are we trying to make feel less welcome and how? Please tell me, I want to know how me criticizing a fictional character results in that.
What’s funny is that you fault these people for making others feel less welcome, indirectly, by criticizing some character, but at the same time you have no issue telling them to sod off, by quitting or by being removed. You are not a very bright person, I gather.
