Favorite way to troll in Vanilla

NElf Hunter. Go to contested territory neutral town (everlook, gadget, or booty bay) Meld in the middle of town. Have the guards kill people all day by sicking your pet on them.

Throw AV hard pack snowballs at people and knock them off cliffs, or mc people off of zeplins.

Between Eyes of the Beast and FD there is just soo much fun to be had.

I also played a priest; mind control and fear were crazy good times.

Yup, if you wanted really havoc you’d spread the cursed blood debuff. The genius who figured that out caused hundreds of thousands of deaths. Maybe even millions when you factor others replicated his technique.

Back on Nostalrius, I loved spawning infernals and doomguards in places like goldshire and lakeshire. (I was alliance btw) It wasnt necessarily to “troll” people or ruin their leveling, I just found it funny and so did about half of the people getting killed who had no idea what was happening and thought it was like a world event. I even had lowbies unknowingly help summon the doomguards, which they thought was hilarious when they realized what they had done.

Eventually some lvl 60 druid who couldnt take a joke (probably that Elizaham guy) started stalking me and killing my demons the second I spawned them, even tried reporting me despite the GMs saying it was fine. Then he would emerge and try acting like hes some hero.

I once had 5 infernals on the goldshire inn roof because they would evade ranged attacks. Their aoe would kill lowbies who stood still at the entrance/mailbox for too long.

The snowballs in raid would also cause mayhem!! It arrived to a point where the raid leader had to give -DKPs because we would make the raid wipe for using them.
It was honestly hilarious and while some people were raging at first, they would laugh about it a few days after.

Killing opposite faction escort mobs, the rage is real.

Seriously, though, the cursed blood plague is still studied by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to study how people would react to an outbreak of a plague.

One day I was extremely bored during Vanilla, but I had a rare recipe called the Flask of Petrification. I made a whole bunch of them and sat on the Horde’s Orgrimmar mailbox. So many Horde players were around me, a lone dwarven priest. It was like blood in the water to them, but I had hours of flasks. Those things took forever to make though. I don’t think I’ll be able to do it again.

Can’t believe I didn’t think of this one earlier as well…Portal Roulette. When we were getting close to raid ending me and another mage would stand on the same spot and open a portal to every capital…then the raid would have to click and see where they ended up…waste of portal runes, but I didn’t care, they were cheap anyway.

While not vanilla, this was one of the most epic ways to troll people in WotLK.

I used to duel people in Thunder Bluff on my priest and Mind Control them off the plateau lol. Ultimate rage from the other player every time.

I would also positive troll the alliance a lot. If I came across a low level alliance player in the wild, instead of killing them I would Mind Control them then buff them up and send them on their way. It’s the little things. Love this game.

Mind control.
The best troll spell ingame.

When raiding on my lock back in the day people would be asking for summons, and looking to plebs like me to do it. So after a few summons I’d always throw out a ritual of doom in its original form. People always fell for it and someone always died.

*pro tip: soul stone yourself prior to the summoning, because it’s possible the lock could die. Haha

Sending Horde noobs on a journey to find their lvl 12 quest mob in Silithus.

saying ya I can do your crusader enchant, have them trade me the mats and log off

Blizzard will shoot your fun down, I bet they make it so you have to be in a party with someone to cast water walking on them.

They already altered polymorph
