classic world of warcraft barrens at night time or classic orgrimmar. Classic orgrimmar especially feels so relaxed and chill compared to the modern orgrimmar which is so crampted in and dark

Darkshore and Auberdine are completely different zones after Cata. Both are a lot more peaceful originally.

Glad I have a level 80 druid on classic. I am going to go to Darkshore and just relax for a bit. Not joking here. I liked how the music worked there.

Mechagon City. You don’t know how much I wish we’d gotten to explore an area like that for the daily quest hub, instead of the junkyard above.

Hands down, my number one is Kun Lai Summit in Pandaria–the music is outstanding. Second is probably Vashj’ir (I know it’s hated, but for a druid that place was a beautiful playground). Third…hmmmm…I really loved the dam near Ironforge pre-Cata; it’s one of the things I first saw in this game that made me stop and admire and fall in love with WoW.
Some honorable mentions would be Ironforge and Undercity (before its fall I parked all my Horde there), Storm Peaks, any place with a Tuskarr or Ogre, all the Goblin and Gnome areas, and Feralas. That first ride into Feralas as a noob was mindblowing.
Toss up between Duskwood and Gilneas.
I’m a sucker for things dark and gloomy with a sliver of civilization. Throw in a bit of rain or fog and I’m all in.

I find it weirdly haunting being in the old ‘Stratholme’ and ‘Scholomance’… how weird is that? It’s just haunting? … there have been several expanses where I just enjoy the music!

I’ve always loved rocks. Geodes, crystals, quartz, etc. so my favorite zone is Deepholm.
However, my favorite place to hangout is Thunder Bluff. I’m holding out hope that one day Blizzard will give my home all the cool stuff that Org has.

That is very cool… just did the Elder charm collecting on several toons to remind of that place. It’s like when you back in your life and remember your experiences and times… pretty cool
