Favorite Hardware for WoW / Gaming?

I’m a Corsair fan, and I always will be.

Right now, I’m using the RGB K70, and the Corsair RGB Scimitar Elite, both fully wired. I also use their Void Pro headset. Corsair is my favorite company for hardware by far, but I know other people who swear by Logitech, Razer, etc.

So what about you? What’s your favorite hardware? Are you a nerd like me and love that new hardware smell, or are you someone who doesn’t put much thought into it? If it plugs in, and it works, good enough.

I can’t really afford to be any particular flavor of loyal to hardware. I just need it to work and be better than what I had before.

As much as it would be a dream for me to have a gaming laptop console I cannot afford one sadly,

Most of my budget goes to bills and I live to pay bills sadly,

Happy my cursed-MacBook Pro still is able to run WoW!..for now

I use a very basic and cheap but robust mechanical keyboard. But I would never play an mmo without my razer naga. As far as computer processor go, I also always go for intel even if AMD is currently on the rise, I just have ptsd from old amd processors that could heat up a whole room.

Corsair is my personal favourite.

In fact I have a Corsair TX 750 V2 I got 5+ years back, a Corsair Vengeance 16 GB RAM I got in the same time.

I couldn’t agree more.

depends… i pretty much only buy ASUS MoBo’s, never had one fail in over 30 years now (knock on wood). i swear by PC Power and Cooling for PSU’s. RAM Corsair. Samsung for SSD. for keyboard and mouse and headset, im now in love with ROCCAT, and they’ve served me well.

i cant say i ONLY get Intel, but my last couple builds have been, still using my 4770k. nothing is dragging it down yet, so i think im still good on this build for a couple more years. and then ill see what AMD is up too. man those Athlons were awesome, id love to see them rule again.

And I’ve had like three fail lol.

I too have used Asus motherboards since the late 90s never had anything but perfection and the best of features.

I’ve been a fan of razer products for a while now, but maybe that’s just because that’s what I originally went for and they work so I haven’t felt the need to change. I loved my kraken headset (only got rid of it cause of wear and tear), razer mouse, and a giant razer mousepad.

I could probably do with a new keyboard and mouse, but havent pulled that trigger yet. Before SL goes live I’m going to get something like a 32" monitor so I can join the 3 monitor club and have more real estate. I may go for both keyboard mouse when I do and just get that expense out of the way, then after SL look to build a new PC since mine was done in late MoP.

The logitech G600 mouse is the only hardware I’m really loyal to. Keyboards, I’m not picky. I grabbed one from amazon awhile ago that works great, looks great and isn’t noisy. That’s about all I need.

been using Dell laptops since 2001. currently on my 4th one
Razer Naga mice since 2010. on my 5th one (they fail rather consistently)
BlackWidow Mechanical keyboards since 2011. only on my 2nd.
Logitech THX sound systems: used z560 from 2002-2011, now using z623

I want an old Belkin Nostromo n52 again. The newer Razer ones (Tartarus & Orbweaver) are total crap in comparison.

As for a mouse I like the G502 wired mouse.

Isn’t a mouse every 2 year a bit excessive? lol

I used to be a hardcore Logitech fan until their mice kept dying. I was on my 3rd G602 gaming mouse when I couldn’t right click anymore and decided to give Corsair a try, I eventually dumped all my Logitech gear for Corsair and I couldn’t be happier.

I wish I’d switched earlier tbh, but I did get a really decent run out of Logitech for 20 years, that’s not to be ignored.

One potato laptop. Nothing else. I’ve never even used a mouse in WoW and I’ve played since vanilla (excepting a break for a couple years at the end of WOD)

My other mice are a Corsair Glaive, and a Razer Basilisk. Both are great and on par with my G502. I feel like I should ship my Naga Trinity to Darthvixen, since I could not get used to it.

For laptops I pretty much only use Dell. I would say I’m partially indoctrinated towards them as they have all I’ve had since I was a kid ;

  • Dell Latitude C610 (256mb ram). Hand me down from my dads work when I was a kid.

  • Dell Inspiron 1525 (2GB ram). My first laptop bought for me. Ahh the Vista days…

  • Dell Inspiron Mini (2gb ram). I did so many projects on this one. Ran Lubuntu and made magic happen with Java. I don’t know if I could go back to a 10 inch screen or why I tried to do programming on something so small but I used it and I was happy.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming: My laptop that I’ve bought with my own $. Has worked very well and the 1060 still runs WoW decently.

Coincidentally all my work computers are also Dell with a HP box here and there. I don’t necessarily think they have anything amazing about them but I haven’t yet had my hardware fail on me.

Desktops I’ve used have been ones I’ve built but a little fun box with an Intel Hades NUC has been very good at running WoW. Only after corruptions we’re introduced do I get the occasional lag (that one screen in the Chamber when N’Zoth is attacking was quite a test for it).

Razer Naga, not sure I could play without it at this point as I can’t stand SHFT /ALT modifiers in WoW.

I understand this. I’m not a huge Razer fan because most of the ones I used wound up crapping out on me eventually. Although that could be said for any piece of equipment. Peripherals especially depending on use.

I will say I love the feel of a corsair mouse much more though which is what I think governs my decision in this department. Then I tried their keyboards out on a whim and fell in love.
