Favorite Hardware for WoW / Gaming?

Same, I actually use a fancy dancy Corsair keyboard (can’t recall it right now). Love the keyboard, not a fan of the software tho that I use for remapping some keys. Although Razer’s sucks also so maybe that’s just a thing…

I think that’s just a thing, admittedly. I do like iCUE more than Synapse, I’ll admit it. The mouse is what I remap all the time though. Need to have my 12 number pad keys on the mouse + M4 and M5.

My mouse, keyboard, and headset are all logitech. The logitech G600 is essential for mmos, I highly recommend getting one if you don’t have it.

My monitor, MB, and GPUs are Asus. Plus my laptop.

Razer naga. I’ve been using it since 2009 the first naga’s came out. I bind most of my main spells to the 12 buttons and cool downs and interrupts to my keyboard.

Although that is going to change I plan on using middle mouse button and middle mouse button right button as ctrl and alt for more keybindings on the naga bringing up to 36 keybindings.

With the razer bringing back the left handed razer naga I’m going to use that to play a second character for dual boxing with two pc’s, two monitors and two characters.
I’m ambidextrous so I can use the mouse with ether hand. It should be really neat I look forward to leveling characters that way in shadowlands.

I bought a Scimitar Elite but haven’t gotten used to using it, so I always go back to my other Logitech. I really should get accustomed to the Corsair before SL…

I have been using the same game pad for 12 years now. It is a Belkin Nostromo (now called the Razer Tartarus). The buttons all have the numbers worn off from my fingernails. The thing is a trooper, it just won’t quit. I hope I didn’t just jinx myself.

Logitech is by far the best when it comes to quality imo.

I have a Logitech pro headset, easy removable cords and nice sound.

Ive had a razor black widow keyboard for like 4 years and the paint is stripping off the space bar lol… razer naga mouse / Logitech 150 something for fps games…and a orbweaver.

Not too special just got my fps/mmo gear all set for whenever I wanna play wow or overwatch

Can confirm razer nagas are amazing, I could not play WoW without one. however they are very short lived. I have literally bought so many of them I have lost count. They dont last.

I’ve gone through so many mice. I think It really depends on the person and how much anger they are pushing the buttons with… hard button pressor = sensor gets pushed in over time or plastics deteriorate quicker.

You think I would have too many buttons, but I don’t have enough… K55 keyboard for the extra 6 macro keys on the left, I mainly assign them to the top row action bar, the capslock and windows key are both disabled. Razer Naga, old design with the shoulder buttons on the side of the left mouse click; I assign all my temp buffs, utility, and defensive CDs here in rows of 3 with 10, 11, and 12 assigned strafes and backpeddle.

Yeah, this is my problem with them. My corsair easily lasted 5 years before I bought a new one simply because I wanted a new one. I can’t stand the tiny life span of Razer mice.

I’ve had my current razer naga since 2016. Guess I’ve been lucky with it lasting so long. knock on wood. Its the green limited edition. I will most likely be replacing it with another right handed naga along with a lefty one this year though.

I had a g600 for like 4 years and we’ve had red dragon mice now for awhile, there’s better mice out there that function the same.

I don’t buy too much hardware specifically for gaming, aside from my graphics card (which tends to be Sapphire for AMD or EVGA for Nvidia). Almost all hardware purchases are work-oriented instead, so my work hardware gets repurposed for games and such at the end of the workday.

Current desk setup:

  • Custom built tower
    • Fractal Define S case
    • Gigabyte Z170X-UD5-TH mobo
    • i7-6700k CPU
    • Noctua NH-D14 cooler
    • Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 XT + MSI Aero ITX RX 560 GPUs
    • EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W PSU
  • Happy Hacking Keyboard 2
  • CST L-Trac trackball
  • Apple Magic Trackpad (for gestures)
  • Asus MX27AQ and PB278 2560x1440 IPS monitors
  • JDS Labs Element II DAC/Amp combo
  • Sennheiser HD6XX, AKG K550, AKG K7XX headphones
  • Jarvis desk
  • Herman Miller Embody chair

It’s all paid for itself several times over at this point, especially the keyboard and trackball, which I bought in 2015 and used to tote to/from the office. Both have thousands of hours on them and are showing zero signs of wear.

im not loyal to a brand

  • G600 Logitech
  • G910 keyboard
  • Arctis 7 Headset (Steel Series)
  • Blue Yeti
  • EVGA GPU
  • SeaSonic PSU
  • Gskill RAM
  • ROG Maximus Code X mobo
  • Seagate HDD
  • Samsung SSD

I’ve used a G600 mouse since Cata, I’ve owned 3 so far (only 1 was broken, and the other 2 are used for home/work).

Hold onto that Nostromo! The Belkin one and the first gen Razer one have much better build quality. It’s why old used Nostromos go for more than brand new Orbweavers and Tartarus.

It’s sad that companies just refuse to make good quality products anymore. It’s not cost effective to make something that doesn’t need to be replaced every couple years.

I’m a Logitech guy myself. Corsair and Razer products have always given me headaches whether it’s been awful software or just stuff breaking quickly.

So I just use a wireless G305 and a Pro Keyboard, nothing crazy.

Also recently got an Alienware 240hz monitor upgraded from a 60hz Viewsonic I’ve had for 7 years and holy moly I wasn’t expecting such a huge difference.

I like my toaster. I can put in 4 games at once!

When it comes to input devices, high quality options exist, but they’re generally not aimed at gamers and are usually considered “ugly” aesthetically. All the glitz, design, and marketing associated with gamer stuff comes at a price.
