With all the recent talk of ‘cheating’, and ‘exploiting’ in the forums lately, it got me thinking about something.
What are some of your favorite cheat codes from video games you used to play?
Or what cheat codes do you remember using the most often, or have fond memories of?
My favorite would be Conker’s Bad Fur Day for the N64, because for some reason I can still remember 60% of the cheat codes for that game.

GTA vice city on pc… typing tortoise gave you full health and armor, and I think “artillery” gave you full weapons and ammo.

didnt work first time aint gunna work a second time d… …
my fav cheat was tanks in GTA vice city. i would make walls out of tanks having them drop around me, blow them up myself and it made for a great barricade, then i would just fight from there with 5 stars.
Since you mention N64, OP, that reminds me of Wayne Gretzky’s 3D Hockey. Had a few friends that I’d get together with frequently and we’d enter the codes for:
Unlimited Fighting
Big Head Mode
Poweroverwhelming.
I dont remember what it does, I just remember it was a cheat code.
That’s god mode in starcraft. And there was a space in between the words

Cheat codes & exploits have always ruined a game for me & made it completely unplayable after that, so I don’t use them. Not sure why people get satisfaction & thrills out of cheating any system and screwing over other people who are playing by-the-rules. Must be a sociopath thing.
Primarily for fun in multiplayer games with friends (see my above post), or for testing mechanics in an offline environment to get better at multiplayer (starcraft), etc.
Best cheat code in games history.
The Game Genie for NES.

Same reason people play different versions of pool and poker.
Rule changes can be amusing. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. But theres no harm in an environment in which everyone agrees to the new rules, or when playing single player.

Sims 3 = motherlode
I played that game more to build houses than play characters, so I’d front load my money and just spend all my time designing.

I love turning on Immortality in CK2, and seeing just how crazy I can make the game.
MK blood code ABACABB even though I never owned that game

The only one I remember is…
^v^v<><>BA Select/Start.
But only because that is in a bunch of Komani games and is the typical cheat code meme format. I remember using it in one specific game though, just forgot which, or what for.
When I was young and in early high school, I used to use a cheat to make everyone follow you in GTA: Vice City. I’d bring them to a back alley and nuke them for cash with a katana.
Other than that I don’t remember using many cheat codes.
