Gone too soon.
I always seem to go back and re-read the Dresden Files every other year, so I'll have to pick that.
Honorable mentions include Good Omens, and whatever Chuck Palahniuk manages to throw out that makes me uncomfortable.

Tolkien - Silmarillion.
Best fantasy series ever:
The Coldfire Trilogy, by C.S. Friedman.
Donât call yourself a fantasy fan if youâve never read it and DONT read the Wikipedia entry if you decide to correct that (spoilers).

Used to like the Drizzt novels and the Garth Nix ones mentioned above.
Recently read Endurance by Scott Kelly, the year in space astronaut, that was pretty cool and inspiring.

"Nine Princes in Amber" and the rest of the series. Roger Zelazny
"Idylls of the Queen" Phyllis Anne Karr
"The Weird of the White Wolf" Third of the Elric series, and I think it was the best of them.
"The Forever War" Joe Haldeman

Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb, and anything in that same world.
First book is called "The Assassin's Apprentice." i STRONGLY reccommend it to fantasy fans.
And of course, ditto to everything Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams.
