Richard Z Kruspe ( the spiky haired fellow on our right ) and Paul Landers ( the shorter guitarist on our left )
I mean yeah guitarists are cool and all. But can your guitarists wear masks like this while playing?
Adam Jones
Mark Tremonti
Synyster Gates
Dave Mustaine
Glenn Tipton/K.K. Downing
Adrian Smith/Dave Murray/Janick Gers
Django Reinhardt
Duane Allman
Jimi Hendrix
Andrés Segovia
and gotta give it up for hometown boy Stevie Ray Vaughn
Marko Hietala.
Well, he’s technically a bassist but…
Bass Guitar is just a more beefy version of guitar.
Mark Knopfler. He is a finger picking master.
I googled Van Halen guitar solo out of interest as I like your list, I found this and it’s so good I had to share.
Brian Setzer. That man is God, when it comes to guitar playing.
And he did that while drunk and high.
George, of course!
David Gilmour x5
Brian May gets a nod for second.
While I appreciate dozens of crazy good guitarists, the question was personal favorite and David speaks to me like no others.
I see it more like the musical glue keeping the songs together
Jesse Cash / Sean Price- Erra
Ville Vänni/ Markus Vanhala -Insomnium
Teemu Mäntysaari/ Jari Mäenpää- Wintersun
Adam Dutkiewicz/ Joel Stroetzel- Killswitch Engage
Jerry Cantrell- Alice in Chains
listed both guitarists in some bands because you cant have one without the other
Mark Tremonti is so underrated.
dude is amazing live
It pretty much is. For many songs, the bass isnt even noticable but it adds so much more oomph to the track that without it, the whole thing falls completely flat.
Or other songs that have a more aggressive baseline and you’re able to notice it in contrast with the lead.
They are both, ultimately, different types of guitars though. One for the baritone or tenor range, and the other for, well, bass range.
In no particular order;
John Petrucci
Steve Vai,
Joe Bonamassa
