Fatal flaw

speak for yourself dude.

This is it. The ability to do AV between dungeon or raid activities made it accessible to people that did other things besides PvP. Not sure why “liked” is in quotations lol Folks have different opinions…

It’s impossible for anyone to like AV 1.12, its not comprehendible to me. Like if your enjoyment comes from character progression I can see why you’d be pro 1.12 as its way easier to get honour and rep but its complete trash.

Not one time since AV 1.5 has blizzard been successful(altho they try) in creating a epic scale battle to participate it. At anytime you could go to that battle master and within minutes to many seconds you would be in a huge war with 80 players. It was so awesome, it felt like real battle, it took hours to accomplish simple things. People would have to man up and become our Commander. You would battle these horde so long you would know them by name and you would know who to run from when they show up because the GM would just 1shot like 4 guys at once.

The level 51-60 bracket was such a good decision too. It was so fun just wrecking the level 51s that decided to que, and it was fun being a lvl 51 ( as long as you wernt a warrior ) to que in and just help the front line threw healing or minor ranged dps.

I miss it so much, it was so sick to have that option of a huge scale war at all times that lasted for days. and then when you win the server blows up, its in your face HORDE/ALLIANCE. GET WRECKED GGGGGGG.

omg I miss it, all the new expansions try this pvp grand scale and its all terrible, but old AV was where it was at and it needs to come back.

Stop catering bliz to the casuals, they don’t sell your game, hardcore gamers sell your game for you because they go on reddit, right reviews, spam forums, msg there friends come play this awesome game.

If you don’t do us right then your frankly probably going to achieve a lot smaller of a player base.

It was quite a straightforward question. “Liked” is in quotations because of the very answer you gave. You and others who prefer 1.12 are unable to articulate what about the actual BG you like.

I am discussing the merits of the content itself. Your answer aligns with those who are more interested in getting it over with, rather than actually being able to state something about the gameplay content itself that you enjoyed.

Prior to MoHs, you were not required to be in the BG until the end. You also had 2 other BGs to fill that time between dungeon or raid activities that were almost guaranteed top be quick.

I like pickled Herring. Not all like pickled Herring, which is incomprehensible for me…

You could fit old AV between other content as well, even in a days long match. You enter the BG and then you leave the BG when you want to run a dungeon. You’re not locked into playing out the full match.

People don’t like pickled herring because of the texture and the word pickled.

So you agree, we have different taste and/or opinion on pickled herring? You do see where I am going with this right?

How is a quicker, more accessible BG not “gameplay content”? It doesn’t have to be specific to be relevant. And AV, even 1.12 AV, had an epic, raid feel to it, which the other BGs didn’t. Not that I didn’t or won’t enjoy doing the others as well. But I would prefer to do all of them. If they are redesigning AV for the folks that BG primarily, then absolutely, they should go with the earlier version. But I don’t think they are. Which is why they chose 1.12.

And that’s why blizzard has turned into a trash company. Like you said they choose to cater to the people that don’t play that much BGs instead of the people who play BGs all day. There so dumb.

So you are unable to articulate a single actual content aspect of AV 1.12 that you enjoyed which was not in the early versions.

And I will repeat, as you missed this part:
Prior to MoHs, you were not required to be in the BG until the end.

I would have preferred to be able to acquire raid gear between dungeon and BG activities. Less people ran raids than ran AV. Why were raids not similarly chopped up to make them accessible for the bulk of players?

This is whats so frustrating about these trolls posting about this matter, they defend blizzard, and not one person has said a reason why they liked 1.12 other than it didn’t last 2hours and you could farm honour slight quicker? like okay… i want to have fun. Theres tons of MMOs I can go grind that are terrible. I want to grind and have fun at the same time even if its unbalanced.

Some of the best games in life are unbalanced, for example poker is probably the most unfair game ever designed. You get screwed for no reason all the time and there’s nothing you can do about it, but its fun.

Fix your game stop being lazy you have a total of 3 BGs blizzard and you think its okay to release 1/3 in a broken state. LIke come on, I’m a PvP player I don’t want to grind to 60 and spend 200hours if your not gonna do the PvP right.

The final fight is what made AV fun for some folks. So leaving early is just what? Open world PvP? And raids weren’t chopped to accommodate PvP focused players for the same reason they’re going to run with 1.12. Which is: a vast majority of the player base is PVE-focused. You, and the private server folks that pushed Classic into happening (bless them), and even super-excited folks like me, aren’t going to represent even a half of the player base, even the post-tourist player base, for Classic. They are, and should, be keeping that in mind.

Did you actually play early AV in vanilla? Serious question. If all you think early AV had was “open world PVP” beyond the PVE general fights, then you are demonstrating some monumental ignorance.

I am not going to bother listing all of the aspects of the BG that rewarded both rep and honor. Do your research if you do not have the experience.
