I am also at 89 resistance, and the core has disappeared from MOTHER’s inventory. Completed a full vision clear, but not a N’zoth kill. I submitted a ticket, so we’ll see what Blizz says.
I am also at 89 resistance. I did a full vision clear and got a N’zoth kill this week prior to buying the Core’s from Mother. The core disappeared from Mother’s loot table. I should be able to buy one more and be at 92 resistance.
Same boat, banged out my vision and n’zoth kills on tuesday before this announcement even came out, and now I can’t buy the last core I need to get to 92.
Account wide cloak, essences and echoes would be a beautiful change.

Why can’t you buy it? Did the hot fix not go through?
I mean, waiting one more week to finish maxxing out your cloak is not that big a deal, compared to the multi week timegate you were looking at before. 3 resistance isn’t going to mean much unless you are near a threshold for another piece.

Yeah… Not really.
Most of us asked for the limit (1 core per vision per week) to be removed and just let us run visions to catch up, which is the exact same amount of work you had to do, we’re just asking to be able to do those in a week.
Selling cores for 2000 echoes each means we need to do multiple full clear of visions to get one core, which is 2.33 times more work compared to you. And then we have to do more visions for another 2000 echoes to buy our corruption, so 2.33 + 2.33 = 4.66. For every core we have to put in 4.66 more efforts compared to your 1 core per vision.
So I don’t think any of us are asking it for free, we just want it to be fair.

Ah yes, less work for us. Except for the fact coalescing visions have been increased, the number of runs required to get your cloak has been reduced and you still have the option of increasing your resistance by 3 per week in the same way we did. So no, actually you are not working harder than us. Do it, don’t do it, I don’t care. None of my Alts are going to be maxed out because I don’t need them to be as geared as my main. I don’t understand why you think you deserve to be caught up to everyone in 2-3 weeks when we have been at it since Jan.
I’m not the one constantly spitting in blizzards face because they didn’t make the game easy enough for me
Then why make me farm 5-15 weeks of pvp to get a Rank 3 Conflict & Strive trait unlocked at this point in the game as well?
Lets roll this out to other timegated things that directly pertain to your neck piece or cloak.

My main is 9 weeks behind because my laptop was broken and all those repair shops are closed due to the virus, and even then I still paid for my sub during that time. So yeah I never said I deserve to caught up because life sucks, I accept that, and that’s why I’ve completed given up on the cloak until they announced this “compromise”.
So go do it and stop complaining. Initially, you needed to do practically every daily to keep your cloak maxed out. If you couldn’t play for 9 weeks you should be chomping at the bit to play wow. If you don’t find the game fun, then go play something else and stop asking for the game to be further dumbed down.

THANK YOU BLIZZARD for listening and responding to many posters/feed back. You didn’t have to put corruption on a vendor, you didn’t have to add a vendor catch up mechanic for the Legendary Cloak. I don’t mind that to maintain max lvl resistance I have to do the WORK & PLAY THE GAME. All of you at Blizzard have to work very hard to make a game for so many different folks who want so many different things. You can’t & won’t ever please everyone, even me, but I still appreciate all the hard work your team does. THANK YOU!!

Just gonna point out that I was here during the start of the patch, you just need to do three of the assault zones to get enough Coalescing Visions for one vessel to get your weekly cloak upgrade, dailies wasn’t necessary.
Edit on first week yes you need 5 but after that you can pretty much skip those dailies since they provide very little Coalescing Visions.
Because you still have to do the work each week to EARN that weeks upgrade, which means a vision or N’Zoth. I have 12 toons with lvl 15 cloaks. I do NOT expect to be handed the upgrade for the week w/o doing the work. It’s one vision per toon if you are caught up, without masks, 20 minutes (and yes, I HATE playing my SPriest & Druid in visions but I’ll do it if I want the upgrade each week.)
yet what about new/returning players who cant get rank 15? why isn’t this being a option as well… baffles me that theres been a ton asking for the same even for alts. same with gearing. seems odd that new/returning players are just straight up Effed atm i mean you may as well not even sub or play till SL which is sad cause this is the last patch yet seems your screwed if you just came back.
You’re not following, before the catch-up you had to work all week to get enough coalescing visions to buy enough vessels to get your 1 rank a week. Blizz just put a red pen straight through that. The +3 resist is supposed to be a very small carrot to keep ppl subbed. I don’t know why anyone thinks they should be able to catch up what has taken us 5 months in several weeks.
Wasn’t it the casuals that told us to stop caring what gear other people had? We did our aotcs and the like without +90 resist. No-one returning is getting screwed, they have the tools to be high end raid ready in 2-3 weeks if they want. You just want everything everyone else had, without the effort.
You can use your echoes to buy the vessel for Horrific Visions, 1700 echoes each is a bit expensive IMO but…

I’ve never bothered with those dailies, I fill up those assault bars (15 to 20 minutes each) and do that lesser vision everyday (5 minutes), which takes me about 1 hour and 35 minutes a week to get my cloak upgrade.
