I spent a couple of years farming it pretty casually before giving up. And then my guild did a charity speedrun of ICC together. It dropped. We all rolled, I got it, and have felt guilty about it ever since. XD
I got it the first time I killed the Lich King.

Got mine in like 80kill totall. Funny thing is i got it during the night of halloween.
I feel lucky when I got it in my 100th kill. After seeing some of these people and their super long streaks I shut up about mine
I try to get at 1 char per armour class in a week in case I miss other class based mogs. Only been a few months so I will take my place at the end of the complaint line lol.
I know I got lucky as hell well with fel annihalator. that was like 8 runs. When RNG likes me once…it hates me loooong after so I know to stay humble lol.

Invincible was my longest grind second to Mims head…Invincable took me about a year of consistent grinding on 4-5 toons/week and mims took about 1 year of consistent and another 2 years of inconsistent grinding on the same amount of toons…over all mims head too way longer…
my biggest upset was the Swift Zulian Tiger…I farmed that as much as I could before cata release and never got it…I even opened a ticket about it lol
So glad I have the one and only mount I want. No more farming for me.
When I was farming though I’d run a few weeks of running multiple alts. Then take quite a few months off from farming. It was always going to be a long term goal for me.
Then one month I just had the best of luck and got everything I needed.
I think mine was around… 150-ish runs between three characters.
I got it on my 13th try within the first week trying.

Edit: Ragnaros fire bird mount dropped on my very first Firelands run so I’m fully aware of my dumb luck.
those “people” are very lucky.
some people farm years for it and they gave up trying to get it.
Just in case… Only drops in 25 players hard mode. In normal mode you can farm a valuable pet

7 years. Many alts. Don’t always believe the statistics of “you will most like get it in x amount of runs”. That is a lie. lol It did drop eventually but it took a long, long time to do so.

basically I farmed invincible on 17 characters every week using one lockout. I got it on like my 319’th lich king kill.
For reference durnhold syndrome set in around 250 kills.
oh and I burned out my graphics gard duel boxing the lockout while playing hulu (forgot to turn my game graphics down all the time running two clients)
eventually I did get invincible on my toasted card it was just sketch.
it was around kill 302 that I started hearing voices that should not have been there inside the raid. I couldn’t tell which npc it was coming from.
glad I got it before they patched the lockout sharing.
oh yes the reins dropped on my bank alt fire mage named broom.

Durnholde Syndrome was totally me somewhere around the 3-4 year mark. When it finally DID drop…I really did not know what to do with myself. I was lost.

lets put it this way: ive been farming it since wrath, i got ashes of al’ar last night, but i still dont have invincible. and i have 14 max levels.
The best method to getting a raid mount is to run it on a random alt you rarely play and have it drop on your first run despite farming it for years on your main.

I’ve been farming it since I could solo the raid. Mimiron’s Head and Invincible’s Reins have escaped my grasp for so long. I’m ready to stop having to farm those raids!
