False Reports

Blizzard really needs to start giving these people who abuse the report button a 7/14/30 day suspension. They claim that people under 70 are greifing their BG’s when in reality they’re greifing anyone under 70’s BG experience. The brackets will not change, they will stay 61-70. Regardless I’d like to see Blizzard take action against these report abusers. Hit them where it hurts, their gametime. Only ban them permanently if they keep abusing the feature. Infact, remove the ability to report others completely away from those who abuse the function.

Agreed, real reporting is fine. False reporting is wrong and deserves a suspension.

Anyone with ethics would understand that messing with another person’s account is wrong.

it’s sad, this is becoming regular practice in game for simply doing something another player doesn’t like. We watch someone who won the Ashes of Alar this week but muted for 7 days after getting a number of reports via other members in the raid who didn’t like that they lose. It was a group of 6 guild mates and they all lost the OPEN roll. 1 Random guildless guy in our raid (who was top DPS mind you) won the roll and wax ecstatic, you could hear him celebrating over the mic in discord all happy. About 5 minutes later he asked in discord if someone reported him because he couldn’t talk and 1 of the members of that guild spoke up and said they reported him…

Meanwhile he’s now waiting on his 3rd day on a reply to his appeal to unsilenceing him…

This game is becoming nails on a chalk board.

Blizzard just pretends to care about issues. There’s so many issues with this game and they do nothing about them. Instead they just spit out fluff like community pillars and social contract to even sign into Wrath. Not to mention they’re making the game actively worse with some of the changes they do make. I think we can look at the classic’s team design decisions as “this takes more time so we won’t do that” while feeding their paying subscribers some PR for it that they didn’t include it for social reasons or whatever trash they want you to believe.

You could hear his excitement turn into sadness pretty quickly.

You think a cheap trailer park company with an automated punishment system is going to take the time to do this? How about we get rid of the report button and people stop being little p words

Exactly. Removing RDF added an entirely new system of narcissistic trolling, and elitism. They claimed they made their decision to remove RDF as a way to “bring people together” when in reality most of the time it’s countless whispers unanswered, hard ressers, or GDKP style dungeon groups…

Yeah, I know RDF is the biggest example. But you can even point to the built in quest module (which Blizzard reversed the decision on which they never announced until there was immense backlash so who knows where they actually were internally on that, I’m betting they were lying), it would take them time to do it so they simply weren’t going to put it in.

I have a feeling that RDF will be added in due to backlash as well. I honestly cannot think of a time that the forums where so filled with this many complaints. Every single new topic created, including this one, is a complaint. They need to get their crap together.

My problem with all their decision on certain things like RDF is that they don’t consider the potential fallouts/ ripples they will create. It’s like they just decide to do things because in their fantasy worlds it “sounds good”. They are lacking foresight in their decision making. They can’t think two steps ahead. It’s funny people are all about how Sulfuras is becoming a balanced server. Blizzard even is claiming the server is a massive success! When the Alliance 3-month-player-tourists all quit, who will be left on server? You’ll have an abandoned Alliance side that’s unable to play the game, and I know Blizzards close watch of server health proven by TBC will be right there to help them out!

Flight never coming back

RDF will be implemented eventually because they can use it as a PR stunt just like they did with patchfinder and flight. “We listened so here’s the compromise”.

Compromise…

Okay, I agree with that. Their PR team needs some training LOL.

pi?

Classic will be dead after wrath. So, i wouldnt get worked up about it all

The worse it gets the more and more I lean toward Retail as much as I loath it. At least in retail I can teach my SO how to play the game without worrying about silly intricacies.

They need to get actual gamers working on the game again.

When this was true:

Each member of the Blizzard Entertainment staff is a true game enthusiast, giving the company invaluable insight into creating products for gamers

the game was much better.

One of the things I liked about warframe. The devs would play. You’re doing a mission and have a dev in party. No cheats, no admin account, just a player that’s a dev. We all knew who they were. During livestreams they’d invite from the chatters other days they’d just be playing. Hear a dev go off about an enemy being overtuned (like WAY broken) and next week it’s patched was great.

The game would be handled much differently if the crew loved it the same way we do.

Took my dungeon geared, gemmed and enchanted 68 rogue into 4 AV matches. Got an average of 5-10 players targeting me for the entire duration before gates open each game. Other lower level players using boostie gear were targeted just as much.

Are they just inspecting? Are they reporting? I dunno :man_shrugging: but I’m literally scared to grind AV due to the automated suspension system.

That’s what I like about FF14, almost everyone who works there PLAYS the game. They update it constantly because of things they find while playing.
