Practice what you preach. Take your pro guild bank garbage and cry somewhere else. Your words.
My tantrum? Rofl, look at you crying about minor changes to Classic. Thereâs so many old men here whining about a video game, hilarious.
Galdor, weâre not the ones crying to change things; thatâs you.
Instead weâre here stating clearly we like things as they were. None of us have said it was perfect, but weâre not attempting to add features and systems that never existed in any format.
Community is what makes Classic so good, and guess what kiddo, real human GMâs are part of that community.
Tech automation that removes the human element are a very big component of the failure that is the modern game, and that includes the lack of in game human GMâs.
Thatâs great, you keep doing that. Iâll be ignoring all your bloated political talk and doubling down on my support for the changes Blizzard has announced, that auto-squelch is going to be amazing!
Pity you donât actually know. Perhaps the crystal ball should be retired.
Farrahâs reason for suspension âtrollingâ. Farrah didnât troll at all but the 4 people and their 50 alts who want guild banks marked all his posts for trolling. Goes to show which side abuses the flagging system. Another reason right click report should not react with a automated action.
Discussing the merits of a Guild Bank system or updated graphical options isnât crying. You know what is crying? Claiming that anyone who would like to see those things is trying to ruin Classic, doesnât want Classic; is trolling or:
Passive-aggressive crying and whining, thatâs all it is.
If we had 50 alts, weâd be getting 50 likes on our posts. What youâre doing, is actually trolling. I have 0 alt accounts, unlike Farrah whoâs admitted to having at least three. Anyhow, I need to get to sleep, have a good one people.
As he explained he has two accounts heâs using for classic and hasnât touched his old account for months and never will again. I plan on doing the same thing when classic releases. I hate this account. I hate what retail has become. I see my 120 and all my 110s and it sickens me that I kept giving blizzard money to slap me in the face with terrible expansions. I know when I create my new accounts for Classic, this one wonât be considered my account anymore and just a horrible memory
It doesnât matter if it is actually worthy of a squelch, if enough people report for it youâll be squelched. This is why auto-squelch is a terrible idea. Name one time ever where mob rule has been justâŚ
Yes, because at least then itâs a supposedly impartial GM deciding my fate, not a mob of Alexensual followers or similar mindless sheep reporting at some player I annoyed by beating them to a mining nodeâs behestâŚ
just in this thread alone people have talked about the cost cutting and there being a real lacking when it comes to how many gms they will have yet people a breath after that say they will magically have enough to review people after they get squelched and funny enough have enough of them to do an investigation into reports to find people abusing the system.
doesnt make sense and you know it.
which one is correct?
im betting them not having enough gms to solve things in a timely and accurate manner.
Most of the reported wonât even bother contacting support and will just wait up their silenced time. Actually even if try contacting support, your ticket wait time will likely exceed the automated punishment time. Itâs a flawed system from many points of view but thatâs how it is and it saves money for Blizzard.
However, itâs sad. I remember when Blizzard used to have reputation for providing the best support system in the market. It used to be a big deal when the MMO market exploded and companies were pumping MMOs right left and center but most of those had little to no actual support in game or even a properly working ticket system. Ah well, I guess all good things come to an end.
Nope, actually the GMs get back to you in about an hour or two (at most) after the appeal is put in.
Emphasis on enough people. That requires people to actually give enough of a darn to actually report which is rare enough as it is. It also puts their account at risk of itself being banned when someone appeals for false squelching.
Multiboxers are doing this crap routinely.
They also risk getting all of their accounts banned doing such. Itâs not like a GM canât see that those accounts are all tied to the same person.
The new flag/report system is broken - not actually broken, but the logic behind its criteria - and then checking of evidence - is pretty stupid. People definitely abuse and misuse the report feature as their own vindictive way of downranking on these forums.
There is no perfect system. Every system is broken and can be abused in some way but thatâs no excuse to go back to the original system.
You would think people would be fine with reporting and then that person being put on ignore, and if enough add up, a GM looks at it. That way after reporting they donât have to look at them anymore.
Those who are in favor of the person being punished (by an automated script) before a GM even takes a look just enjoy the control over another, I canât see why else simply report-ignore (Iâm not even against right click report, but rather the automated punishment that is easily abused) is not enough. You report them, and you donât have to listen to them, just what they claim they want, but no, they INSIST they must be silenced.
Anyone who doesnât think this will impact anyone other then actual trolls/harassers is delusional. Letâs do a thought experiment.
You are level 10-25 and questing in the Barrens. Classic is still pretty new so there are hundreds of people there. Someone wants to chat like in the days of old so they tell some cringy joke. It might not break the rules, but if there are enough people who have their feelings hurt in the Barrens, they will be silenced. They will be unable to group for quests (important in classic) or meet new friends (important in classic). No coordination needed, just a large enough hive mind in one area.
