False reporting and automated ban

Oh screw that guy. He’s a cancerous toxic buffoon. He likely had a GM following him around after a number of violations and the GM probably finally saw enough to smack him down.

Video is on topic and details how abusable the right click report system actually is. Unfortunately these days when presented with evidence that people don’t want to accept they find any excuse to discredit it.

He likely had a GM following him around after a number of violations and the GM probably finally saw enough to smack him down.

I’m sure that’s not just something you randomly made up.

Well I was wrong that he logged out but taking only one piece without knowing more of a situation is only half the story too.

The video also looks to be something that Blizzard had been actioning him repeatedly leading up to the video and them responding so quickly (“3 to 10 minutes”) after him being actioned shows that they did indeed smack him down after review of his history.

The video reinforces that belief.

11:06: “We can argue was I squelched or not, and even if I was squelched…”
Chronic toxic streamer with a history of being actioned… you are not doing your argument any favors using his idiocy as evidence.

No it doesn’t. Stop pretending to know how Activision-Blizzard is handling these tickets with authority. Unless you’re a CS rep or GM you don’t know how actions were taken against his account, only that they were. You also don’t know his past actionable history, but pretend you do.

The bottom line is the Activision-Blizzard automated report system is abusable and shouldn’t be in Classic. If the auto-DC and auto-squelch are removed it’s fine.

Hold on, be right back, I think the ironymeter explosion may have caused my Sous Vide to turn off.

Oh ok, you can use his video as proof to speak to your argument, but I cannot take the same video that clearly states he has a history of actions against him for spamming and such leading up to his “silence”? I see, how does that work exactly?

On the subejct of the DC, as far as I know, that will occur if you are either silenced or have other gigs against you already, if everyone who was squelched also got DCd, you’d see a ton of posts about , tweets or what not.

People on these forums have said they have been squelched but did not mention also being DCd, at this point I would LOVE clarification.

On a semi-related topic, was just reading on the Classic reddit that Joana (who makes that leveling guide) was banned from Twitch due to trolls abusing the report system. Maybe it was for some other reason, but people seem to think not.

oh Twitch is wild beast compared to here, lol.

It’s your claim that you know the actions against his account.

You’re just coming up with conjecture that because he was silenced it must’ve been some sneaky GM behind him or past actionables.

His Twitter seems to indicate it was from his 1-60 video that he uploaded. That’s what I’m getting from it.

He literally spoke of the history of actions against his account in the video.

Much like his followers do, GMs may have been paying attention to his antics. Sorry if an educated guess equates to conjecture to you. Isn’t he the same disruptive bozo that gave project 60 a bad name and did such damage to the RP server?

Please stop insulting the forum by using him as a poster child of the wronged and repressed.

Mentioned one name change report.

No bias obviously.

The only one spewing insults here is you in an attempt to discredit the video where Asmongold shows how abusable the right-click report system is. The only counter argument for that video you’ve provided has been that “Asmongold is bad” and “I don’t like him so his completely valid video containing criticism is invalidated.”

Using him as an example of a wronged individual is what I find laughable. He is a common toxic troll that deserves everything leveled at him. Your choosing to white knight him speaks volumes about you as a result.

I am absolutely biased against trolly idiot attention seekers.
Do you imagine that is something I was hiding?

I am using his video as an example how the right-click report system works and it is on-topic. Your name calling and insults are not.

Hmmm, might have to pull the mains out to settle this one.

You chose what is arguably one of the worst examples to defend your case.
I apologize profusely for insulting him and calling him names.

Worst example because you dislike the person, not because of the content of the video.

This was my main back in Vanilla. Leveled him up for TBC as an alt but left him with his old gear on.

Worst example because he has zero credibility. I mean with the sheer oodles of examples of this being abused, -there are actual examples beyond this streamer troll right?-, you should be able to provide citations of “innocent” players being harmed by this system.

Why would you expect that when it takes them months to ban gold sellers and botters, things that they would likely consider far more problematic than someone “occasionally” abusing the auto-squelch mechanism? There is little to no evidence that Blizzard has ever punished someone for false reporting.
