PvP (poster v poster) battle rages onward!
Itâs the truest form of PvP.
1930s German political party may include the word socialist, but it was a fascist party /regime in practice.
And the âDemocratic Peopleâs Republic of Koreaâ (North Korea) today, is neither a democracy nor a republic.
Titles, particularly self assigned ones, are often meaningless. Likewise for self descriptions (else Iâd just start calling myself âwielder of the infinity gauntlet and all infinity stonesâ and then Thanos snap this entire thread and anyone in favor of right click reporting causing auto squelch from existence for wasting air that could used on better people.)
Dude take this to the politics reddit
As someone against the Auto-Silence, I never advocated for a Public âName and Shameâ System. I just wanted to make that clear, to those who keep categorizing âallâ Anti Auto-Silence, under the same umbrella.
Source of what Silenced Players can and cannot do: https://www.wowhead.com/news=254115/new-silence-penalty-coming-to-world-of-warcraft
Silenced Players can still talk in Party and Raid Chats. They just canât start/invite to the Party.
Silenced Players can whisper (both intiate and respond) their WoW friends. They just cannot initiate whispers to strangers which is easily bypassed by adding strangers to your WoW âFriendâs Listâ. They donât need to know, nor do you need their permission, to add them to your âFriendâs Listâ. When I say âFriendâs Listâ, Iâm referring to the WoW âFriendâs Listâ. It has no involvement with BNet, whatsoever.
If you donât want to add strangers to your âFriendâs Listâ, if they whisper you, first, you can respond to it, even as a Silenced Player.
Silenced Players can still talk in Guild Chat.
Last but not least, Silenced Players cannot participate in the public chat channels, such as Trade, General, Local, etc.
Thereâs more, but those are my biggest concerns, when Silenced Players are trying to group/raid.
Got you covered.
You mean âPlayer Enforceâ. âTrollingâ is in the eye of the beholder. Weâve seen many definitions of it, here in this Thread.
Find the ones that donât listen to gossip. Not âeveryoneâ utilizes the public âname and shameâ system.
No, itâs not.
No deal. Theyâre not the same thing. One impairs certain abilities to do within the game, the other does not.
I only gave you a heart because what you said is true. I donât want to be entertaining that off-topic discourse.
Doesnât mean we cannot advocate for change.
We do see it being abused, in Retail.
No, to avoid the Players deciding whatâs acceptable behavior, and what isnât.
IDK, but itâs angering me more than the Posters Iâve been debating with.
Please refrain from threats and harassment, thank you.
Just some friendly advice, please refrain from entertaining that conversation. It deters away from the original Topic. By continuously engaging in it, youâre helping to derail this thread. Please and thank you.
Iâm still here. Just takes me awhile with these Posts.
You literally took the bait of an fresh alt account over and over and over.
2 fresh alt trolls that people were gobbling the bait chummed into the thread.
Even though, I didnât appreciate what you did, and you know what you did, Iâm still tactful enough, to agree with you.
But please, donât be spiteful like that, again. It was very hurtful because I never did that to you. Please, donât do it, to me. Thank you.
Thatâs the exact scenario I am explaining.
Blizzard claimed that Kul Tiran Humans and Zandalari Trolls came with the BfA expansion too. Yet, weâre still not playing them. I personally wouldnât be satisfied until it is applied in a fashion that allows us to see for our own eyes that they do recognize it as an issue, at least once.
Silenced Players Are Unable to:
- Talk in Instance Chat (Raid, Party, and Battlegrounds)
Thatâs the Instance Chat. A Chat System for the LFG/LFR Content. Which wonât be Classic.
What is in Classic is a Manual Party System that does not have âInstance Chatâ. Itâs just normal Party/Raid Chats. Read what the Silenced Players can do:
- Party/Raid Chat (with Invited Players)
EDIT: They have to be invited, and if Classic is invited Players, they can talk to them, in those Chats.
EDIT 2:
Silenced Players Are Able to:
- Party/Raid Chat (with Invited Players)
Ah, so instance chat is the auto-populated instance groups. You learn something new every day.
Yes. No fear there, with âInstance Chatâ because itâll be non-existent
The only exception being BG chat, as far as I can see.
Trump 2020
Hmm. That is an interesting thought. I wonder if they will use instance chat or if Blizzard will make us use raid chat. But, then that brings up the question of if they should use raid or instance chat. As mentioned, the squelch wouldnât stop annoying spammers in BGs if they used raid. And, unlike in an actual group, you canât just kick the dude. We all know people can get super annoying in BGs, too. And vile. So, that makes me think there is a pretty good chance (if Blizzard plans on keeping the squelch in), that it will be instance.
But, yah. Just spouting my thoughts out there.
Perhaps.
I, also, take issue with the discrepancy, that still has yet to be clarified. Iâll show you:
Silenced Players Are Unable to:
- Send Party Invitations
Silenced Players Are Able to:
- Create Parties and Raids
So, how can a Silenced Player create Parties/Raids, if they cannot invite to them? Isnât it how they are formed, by inviting?
Blizzard would not âstep inâ any quicker for an auto squelch than they would if that same target report number simply generated that ticket for manual review. You seem to feel that it would be an interminable amount of time without the player imposed punishment. Are you willing to wait that same amount of time to have your squelch overturned?
Even if Blizzard eventually overturns the squelch, you would still have lost all that time trying to find a group.
Or, do you expect us to believe that your squelch will somehow be reviewed and overturned immediately?
As for Blizzard âpunishingâ those who reported you, how do they prove that those reports were actually falsely submitted and not simply submitted in good faith based upon a subjective belief that you had committed an actual violation?
Even though, I didnât appreciate what you did, and you know what you did, Iâm still tactful enough, to agree with you.
But please, donât be spiteful like that, again. It was very hurtful because I never did that to you. Please, donât do it, to me. Thank you.
