1930s German political party may include the word socialist, but it was a fascist party /regime in practice.

And the “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” (North Korea) today, is neither a democracy nor a republic.

Titles, particularly self assigned ones, are often meaningless. Likewise for self descriptions (else I’d just start calling myself “wielder of the infinity gauntlet and all infinity stones” and then Thanos snap this entire thread and anyone in favor of right click reporting causing auto squelch from existence for wasting air that could used on better people.)

As someone against the Auto-Silence, I never advocated for a Public “Name and Shame” System. I just wanted to make that clear, to those who keep categorizing “all” Anti Auto-Silence, under the same umbrella.

Source of what Silenced Players can and cannot do: https://www.wowhead.com/news=254115/new-silence-penalty-coming-to-world-of-warcraft

Silenced Players can still talk in Party and Raid Chats. They just can’t start/invite to the Party.

Silenced Players can whisper (both intiate and respond) their WoW friends. They just cannot initiate whispers to strangers which is easily bypassed by adding strangers to your WoW “Friend’s List”. They don’t need to know, nor do you need their permission, to add them to your “Friend’s List”. When I say “Friend’s List”, I’m referring to the WoW “Friend’s List”. It has no involvement with BNet, whatsoever.

If you don’t want to add strangers to your “Friend’s List”, if they whisper you, first, you can respond to it, even as a Silenced Player.

Silenced Players can still talk in Guild Chat.

Last but not least, Silenced Players cannot participate in the public chat channels, such as Trade, General, Local, etc.

There’s more, but those are my biggest concerns, when Silenced Players are trying to group/raid.

Got you covered.

You mean “Player Enforce”. “Trolling” is in the eye of the beholder. We’ve seen many definitions of it, here in this Thread.

Find the ones that don’t listen to gossip. Not “everyone” utilizes the public “name and shame” system.

No, it’s not.

No deal. They’re not the same thing. One impairs certain abilities to do within the game, the other does not.

I only gave you a heart because what you said is true. I don’t want to be entertaining that off-topic discourse.

Doesn’t mean we cannot advocate for change.

We do see it being abused, in Retail.

No, to avoid the Players deciding what’s acceptable behavior, and what isn’t.

IDK, but it’s angering me more than the Posters I’ve been debating with.

Please refrain from threats and harassment, thank you.

Just some friendly advice, please refrain from entertaining that conversation. It deters away from the original Topic. By continuously engaging in it, you’re helping to derail this thread. Please and thank you.

I’m still here. Just takes me awhile with these Posts.

Even though, I didn’t appreciate what you did, and you know what you did, I’m still tactful enough, to agree with you.

But please, don’t be spiteful like that, again. It was very hurtful because I never did that to you. Please, don’t do it, to me. Thank you.

That’s the exact scenario I am explaining.

Blizzard claimed that Kul Tiran Humans and Zandalari Trolls came with the BfA expansion too. Yet, we’re still not playing them. I personally wouldn’t be satisfied until it is applied in a fashion that allows us to see for our own eyes that they do recognize it as an issue, at least once.

Silenced Players Are Unable to:

  • Talk in Instance Chat (Raid, Party, and Battlegrounds)

That’s the Instance Chat. A Chat System for the LFG/LFR Content. Which won’t be Classic.

What is in Classic is a Manual Party System that does not have “Instance Chat”. It’s just normal Party/Raid Chats. Read what the Silenced Players can do:

  • Party/Raid Chat (with Invited Players)

EDIT: They have to be invited, and if Classic is invited Players, they can talk to them, in those Chats.

EDIT 2:

Silenced Players Are Able to:

  • Party/Raid Chat (with Invited Players)

Ah, so instance chat is the auto-populated instance groups. You learn something new every day.

Yes. No fear there, with “Instance Chat” because it’ll be non-existent

The only exception being BG chat, as far as I can see.

Hmm. That is an interesting thought. I wonder if they will use instance chat or if Blizzard will make us use raid chat. But, then that brings up the question of if they should use raid or instance chat. As mentioned, the squelch wouldn’t stop annoying spammers in BGs if they used raid. And, unlike in an actual group, you can’t just kick the dude. We all know people can get super annoying in BGs, too. And vile. So, that makes me think there is a pretty good chance (if Blizzard plans on keeping the squelch in), that it will be instance.
But, yah. Just spouting my thoughts out there.

Perhaps.

I, also, take issue with the discrepancy, that still has yet to be clarified. I’ll show you:

Silenced Players Are Unable to:

  • Send Party Invitations

Silenced Players Are Able to:

  • Create Parties and Raids

So, how can a Silenced Player create Parties/Raids, if they cannot invite to them? Isn’t it how they are formed, by inviting?

Blizzard would not “step in” any quicker for an auto squelch than they would if that same target report number simply generated that ticket for manual review. You seem to feel that it would be an interminable amount of time without the player imposed punishment. Are you willing to wait that same amount of time to have your squelch overturned?

Even if Blizzard eventually overturns the squelch, you would still have lost all that time trying to find a group.

Or, do you expect us to believe that your squelch will somehow be reviewed and overturned immediately?

As for Blizzard “punishing” those who reported you, how do they prove that those reports were actually falsely submitted and not simply submitted in good faith based upon a subjective belief that you had committed an actual violation?
