It wouldnât be the first time a forum MvP lied and/or was factually incorrect (the difference between the two obviously being intent). They arenât insiders who actually have information or can get insider scoop from Blizzard, they are just regular forumites hand-picked as heroes (seemingly due to having no interest in questioning anything about Blizz but rather a propensity for blind white-knighting).
It is more credible than what âevidenceâ has been presented by the other side. Hmmm, MVP of blizzardâs choosing⌠or a screeching lowlife streamer.
As far as I can tell (from the old days), a lot of MVPs got that rank by assisting in Customer Service forums. Not sure about any MVPs these days since they added that new method of applying or something. I canât quite remember how it works and donât feel like looking it up.
I knew there was something we could agree on. The forums should revert to the original ânormal forumâ format, rather than this scrolling and broken
Yeah letâs believe someone who doesnât represent blizzard more than I do, also one that started playing the game in 2014. Yup, letâs take HIS word as gospel that sounds correct.
Maybe you were never reported in vanilla or tbc for chat but they didnât silence you back then, you got banned outright.
Oh Iâm sorry I didnât use your correct lingo. The âsquelchâ was introduced in legion. You werenât âsquelchedâ in tbc you were just banned.
They did when it was introduced. They said in legion they made a system that silences your account if you get reported too much until blizzard investigates. Are you not accepting this because they didnât use the word squelch? Jesus Christ children
Iâm confused, wouldnât providing factual information be âkeeping Blizz happyâ? The MvPâs have consistently been saying that the auto-squelch has been in the game years before the silence penalty system was in place. At the very least, the auto-squelch system was NOT introduced with the Legion pre-patch. Iâve also found numerous accounts of players being squelched, dating back to at least 2011:
Even if I did find a Blue post referencing the auto-squelch from before the Legion pre-patch, would you consider that as proof? After all, you just implied that multiple MvP posts are less trustworthy than a streamerâs, after which you stated that they post to keep Blizz happy, which means you think that lying or spreading misinformation for years on end is what keeps Blizz happy.
This is just a guess, but I suspect that a blue Blizzard employee is less likely to âlieâ or be âconfused and factually incorrectâ than an âMVPâ.
I can probably find 50 posts referencing an auto-squelch, long before the Legion pre-patch. How much proof is required for posters here to believe that it wasnât introduced in the Legion pre-patch?
The incredulous nature of some posters on this forum is remarkable.
The is pretty undeniable. Even his first sentence, the quote.
âYour chat and mail privileges have been temporarily suspended pending Game Master review.â
This makes me wonder what exactly is different about the Legion version. People said you get a suspended instead. But, then. Why would you get this message if your account was suspended? Or was it that you get a 3 day suspension and your squelched thereafter until a GM reviews? Though, a GM taking over 3 days to review something like this would be pretty insane.
Thinking about it. I wonder if it was because of how you could report people. I think back then you could only report for spamming. So, maybe that is what changed. Since, now you can report for language and such. (I also mean in the options. There was âReport Playerâ and âReport for Spammingâ. If someone did swear, you could use the Report Player option, but that required you submitting a ticket.)
I suspect anyone who does what you suggest will be the first here saying âI dint do nuthin!ââŚright up until a CM gives a synopsis of what you did.
Well I can type up a 1000 word essay that only a few will bother reading and even less will comprehend or I can use digital cave paintings and most get the idea.
