False reporting and automated ban

They’re not similar to ignore.

Don’t forget, “to me”. When you put somebody on ignore, you’re “blacklisting” them, to interact with you…

It’s not a direct statement from Blizzard but I’ve seen multiple posts from MvP’s stating it’s been in the game for 10 years.

The automation hasn’t though.

Definition of blacklist

(Entry 1 of 2)

1 : a list of persons who are disapproved of or are to be punished or boycotted

The automated squelch has been in place for 10 years.

So I posted about being upset that a certain Ox CM was fired, and I was suspended for it. It was only for 24 hours but still.

Tell me that’s not the same as an Ignore List?

The player right click squelch would actually combat the inability of non-abusing players to communicate in public channels. Thank you for missing the point by such a large margin.

It’s not even close to being the same thing. Are you serious right now?

Why are you getting personal? Do you NOT blacklist players by putting them on an ignore list, yes or no?

No, you do not Blacklist players by putting them on ignore.

OK a Blacklist is meant to AVOID and/or EXCLUDE right? Doesn’t Ignore work the same way?

So, we’re back to your pet peeve of the Blizzard permitted use of chat channels in a manner that is not what you consider “correct”?

You are totally ignoring the point that players abusing the system can prevent players who are not breaking any rules from using those same chat channels.

Thank you for missing the point by such a large margin.

An ignore list is not some public list that everyone can see.

Synonyms for blacklist

verb ban

Ignoring someone is not synonymous with putting them on a Blacklist.

Asking someone if they’re serious isn’t getting personal.

I know you like to smash that like button without even reading the post so I have to ask, do you think that putting someone on ignore is akin to Blacklisting them?

You’re not incorrect. It was added in the Legion Pre-patch.

Right, THAT’S the difference! What I’m saying is, when you ignore somebody, you’re “blacklisting” them. Ignore List is still a LIST of people you’re trying to AVOID and/or EXCLUDE.

IK you have all these fancy definitions with links, that I cannot post, and you keep trying to tell me that a Blacklist is NOT the definition, that I looked up. In case you missed it, here is what Google says:

According to Google’s definition, an Ignore List is still a form of a Blacklist. I don’t understand what’s so difficult to understand about that

It is because you’re questioning my mental state which IS personal. Stay focused, please.
