If you really did love classic that much you would not be for changing it in any way yet here you are promoting all kinds of changes. Are you or not in favor of updating things and adding features like guild banks?

None of that stuff was part of the original Classic WoW and should not be part of the Classic WoW when it comes out.

Your opinion on “updates” according to your own logic is null and void. On one hand you say “they are sticking to 1.12 and not changing it” when debating others while on the other hand you promote changes and additions to the game and its systems that never existed at any point in the original game.

Thing is Galdor, these changes you’re in favor of would be like getting a Classic re-release of Zaxxon and then adding in something akin to the NES game genie.

No it’s not that. It’s the futile of discussing adding things to Classic that will no longer make it an authentic Classic experience. There is no literal point to it only to make YOUR Classic experience EASIER via QoL features that exist in retail.

It’s definitely an authoritarian feature. One I don’t necessarily use often, but I think we have a problem, when people are being reported for stating compliments on someone that the one reporting, doesn’t like.

It’s definitely a gray area which is why I believe in the “Innocent until proven Guilty” punishment instead of the “Guilty until proven Innocent”. It’s like Salem but in Cyberspace. I’m using satirical humor with my example, here.

We shouldn’t have to prove our innocence. The burden is on us to prove the Guilt, not make-up lies…IDK, just my 2 Copper, on the issue.

While I agree the flagging for any reason is crap.
This still doesn’t seem to be this huge game breaking issue people are trying to portray.
Its been in the game for years now.

If the player base were abusing it to the point that it cost them more money answering false flags it would be addressed.
Instead all we have is an obscure blue post ackowledging there’s an issue with it on the forums.

It is subjective. Subjective to what the CoC has outlined as unaccpetable behavior as well. The CoC though. Isn’t subjective. It is clearly blizz’s intention to ensure people’s gaming experience isn’t ruined because Johnny feels he needs to get some attention.
While the political topic in game is immersion breaking to me. Blizz seems to allow it.

Thats the thing. Blizz’s inaction on all of this alleged abuse seems to tell a different tale.
Not a single mention of it being abused in game and here on the forums one obscure blue post in a locked thread.
Seems to me more people are abusing it to prove the point it’s being abused.

i for one dont trust the player base to “police” themselves. given the current state of politics and identity politics and social “justice” , i dont think its a good idea to put it in the hands of the player base to mete out punishment.

and yes an auto squelch is punishment.

The clear answer, and something I would be cool with, is to simply not bring sjw, identity politics, or politics in general into the game. Anyone who chooses to in a public channel gets zero sympathy from me if they get a mute or ban.
