are fake achievements bannabe?
there is a site that gives you a script to paste in game so that it generates any achievements you dont have
is this bannable or what
I’m almost certain that no script that you can run in-game would actually give you an achievement.
There are scripts to see if you have an achievement or not, but I don’t believe that a script would be able to also grant an achievement (from the player interface).
If you did find something like that, I would forward it on to the hacks@blizzard.com email address. And no, I would not suggest using them either way.

The only way to get them for real is to do them. I assume this just generates fake text?

looks literally the same as a real one
There has been an addon for over a decade that does that… since Blizz hasn’t broken that I will go on a limb and say it is not bannable.

To jump off the post above, one can easily just look at another person’s toon’s achievements in game.

There used to be ones in legion for AOTC argus the unmaker that made it to where doing an achievement compare check before a run was important. Had a solid 3 or 4 use a fake achievement link. I can’t find it but from my understanding it would basically make a fake link and if you clicked on it it would have “such and such completed this on such and such date” and it was jarring. This was before I knew about the hacks@blizzard.com email so I just let the RL know and they booted them.
