Covenants are disabled, as are legendaries, and gear is the same system as timewalking, ilvl scaled.
If you wanna go socket hunting on low ilvl pieces there’s guides out there and it’ll definitely help, but high ilvl gear isn’t of any more use than questing greens.

I thought it was scaled, why would you need amazing gear for it? You can do it at level 50 so it seems like Blizzard mismanaging it to allow you to do it at level 50 without gear.

It seems like you didn’t try really or didn’t even take 5 minutes to read up on the requirements.
You don’t. What’s helping is the right trinkets and old gear with many sockets. Also T-sets from Legion might work.

On my 217 Guardian druid, Nether horrors are pretty much insta-death. Looks like its undoable at my level of gear/skill. I am by no means an exceptional player, so your experience may vary from mine.

Like with torghast and horrific visions, a lot is probably going to depend on spec. Relative difficulty has always been wildly off the mark with these types of things, especially the first few weeks.

But we only get it for 1 week. I did this in legion and this seems completely insane compared to back then. Xylem almost kills me during razorice (yes I know to jump out as a DH and not move forward). The comet storm is usually hitting me twice for 2.5k each, I only have 6k health. Then you can just run out of interrupts and watch him frostbolt you to death for 1/5th your health each cast.

Getting mage tower achievement in 7.3 was easier because Argus gear made the challenge trivial
Have you tried it? Xylem is doing an insane amount of damage right now.

They buffed some of the encounters dmg wise as well as stealth health buffed some bosses it seems
kruul encounter for tanks for example first boss got a dmg buff as well as a 6k hp buff for both bosses i did the entire fight on ptr but now they buffed it by so much it feels impossible

Too many of the core systems needed messes with scaling that are disabled.

Thank you for sharing this information. My participation depended on the effort. A single mount and trial of style level rewards really aren’t really worth a high difficulty, IMO.
I’m sure it’ll make that mount feel prestigious for those that obtain it, however, and that’s Blizzard’s usual design. Make something inaccessible to most to make a small demographic feel like it was worth their time.
