If I ignore the character design… I don’t mind her but she doesn’t fit within her own faction. She should of been added as a orphan of the earthen or something like that. Right now she is hopelessly optimistic when raised in a religious war cult.

She’s a fine character. The worst thing about her is her movie CG render (hers and all other female characters’ TBQH) and her nonsensical refusal to get a cyborg arm.
They could also have toned down the disability diversity points a bit, but at least they made it make sense with her backstory.
She certainly have had enough build up for us to know everything you could possibly know about her character, unless you skipped all the Hallowfall side quests.

I don’t know. I want to believe people are better than that. I think people are unhappy with the story, and the leaders in it. So they taking it out on new characters.
We don’t see eye to eye this.
Just because I know her backstory and seen her a few times. Does not mean she had a chance to built up.
She is a new character in a story. The story has not pushed forward to see what actions she takes, what she does or built on her.
Making a judgement about her right now, when we have not seen her really tested, or even know where the story is going with her. Seems weird to me.
The story has already shown us how she reacts to any kind of conflict, I don’t know what else you expect.
We also had details about her upbringing and insight on her late friend.
If anything, all we need is some family interaction when we eventually get to the OG Arathi Empire.
She’s alright, but I am not a fan of Anduin and didn’t enjoy the parts where I had to quest along side him. Also for Faerin, not a big fan of Light centric characters or lore. So for me she is just there.

Not really the few things she went through is not enough for a character to develop or grow in front of our eyes.
All she did was give a speech, and made poor choices base off others around her who push her with peer pressure. We also saw a hint of her of strong will base off her not wanting to get a new arm, and relearn how to use it.
Characters take time to grow and develop. We get a small glance at her, Like even with the stay awhile, it is all building her up. The story will need to show more, and how she plays a part of it before I feel a full picture is painted.

Character development doesn’t always mean “changes”.
She’s the kind of character that is pretty much set in stone: lawful good archetype, with altruistic tendencies.
Considering her past experiences and traumas, it’d be very hard for her to deviate from that norm while making the change consistent.
If you believe we can see more, and that Blizzard will deliver it, more power to you.
I just don’t think it will ever happen.

I’m tired of Light base characters.
I want big rugged warrior type men, who kick down the door and are blunt. As I said in another thread. I miss the Varian type of characters. The sexy men who just think actions speak louder than words.
Sure having Turalyon talk about his feelings and made me go awww cute, but I want grit and rugged characters to shine as well.

This! Totally agree with you. She’s a paper thin NPC with basic motivations and tiresome personality. Yes we get it. You are not afraid of the dark. Good for you.
The voice acting is bad all around for Arathi. Don’t get me started on the Chocolate Rain or 90 year old grandpa’s, but her voice doesn’t match at all. She should have had a deeper voice with some gravitas. Not a 7th grade swifty.
