Faerin's actually cool and I will die on that hill

I mean, you’re still saying she’s partly one, which she is not at all.

That’d imply there’s anything correct about this empty noise that’s just cover for stupid beliefs.

Somewhere offscreen, I mean, it does get mentioned, and there is a hospital.

Why aren’t they fighting on the front line like Faerin?

Let me guess…she wouldn’t be that unique if there was squads of one armed Arathi troops with shielded arms.

Why does this matter to you?

It just seems inconsistent to have one patched up trooper on the lines when there should be more if the need really was that dire.

Gasp. A major story character has a unique model that background characters don’t have. shocking.

Any more straws to grasp at?

Lol that’s not a unique concept in fiction. There’s things like Tange Sazen (from 1927) and Baiken from Guilty Gear. Blindness is more common and there’s famous characters like Toph and Daredevil. Prosthetics are a pretty popular sci-fi element also.

Well there was the lack of description she had when she mentioned her own failures.

Wouldn’t want to cast any shadow over Blizzards new shiny toy that just so happens to tick boxes.

She’s a boring, generic character just like everyone else in this game.

I think it would’ve stood out more if we saw the event that led to a prosthetic.

See her heroically take on some bugs, suffer the injuries then have the prosthetic installed.

That way we can share in helping one another fight rather than just telling us about her strength or struggles.

It’s kind of wild that the most pressing issue some people have in their lives is a black woman in a video game, or beards on rock women.

Isn’t most everyone in the states these days looking to tear each other down for as many differences as they can find?

So, when she’s trying to pep up Anduin that it’s possible to bounce back she needed to go into her own failings there?

That could be a cool idea tbh. They could’ve done something similair to that Alleria animation for each of the zone characters. It would’ve given us some visual idea of how the Hallowfall Expedition ended up underground and hints to the Order of Night being a thing from the beginning since it’s implied via a side quest they’ve been carrying out assassinations

It does seem that since Occupy Wall Street, the ruling class went full on with the culture war and set the population at each other’s throats.

Now people are too busy fighting about trivial things to notice the ruling classes theft.

Well to be more relatable yeah.

Admittance of superficial failure is nothing.

I mean, you have her talk about problems in other quests in a more appropriate places, her sitting on the landing by the docks, then the quest line with Gazlowe where she tries to find her friend she couldn’t protect.

What do you mean by this?

It’s like people are using a checklist of buzzwords any time there’s a character that has characteristics they don’t want to see. Half the time they don’t actually make any sense, and most of the time when asked to explain what the problems are, there’s no explanation, just a repetition of the checklist items like basically saying “She’s bad because she’s bad” explains anything.

But having it pre-existing adds a feeling of a character that doesn’t just exist in relation to our characters. It gives her history that fleshes out the arathi as a group. We don’t need to be personally involved in all the big events in npc’s lives.
