Someone linked a post about how she literally denied a cybernetic arm because “she’s used to not having one”.

Somehow this is supposed to be brave but it’s just stupid. In real life it’s just idiotic if you lose a leg and choose to remain in a wheelchair instead of getting a prosthetic leg.

The thing is, she’s not missing an arm because it makes sense, she’s missing an arm because Blizzard want to virtue signal handicappable nonsense.

Venom Snake lost his arm and he has a bad-A prosthetic and he’s so capable that people don’t even think of him as a handicapped character. Even though the game has themes of phantom pain (hence the name Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain) it isn’t about virtue signaling inclusion so it isn’t “awe inspiring” in the way people who want to prop themselves as good bois do.

Faerin has to be dumb and wear her disability openly or else Blizzard wouldn’t signal how progressive they are.

Well, yeah, it’s obvious on this one. Like I said, being disabled is essentially a choice in this setting, one that makes little or no sense as you’re just voluntarily making yourself a liability.

But we will be treated to enough plot armor to make her “just as capable” as anyone with two arms. While simultaneously probably seeing her “stigmatized” for it, so we can have our victim cake and eat it too.

No actual disabled person wants to be disabled. That’s abled people trying to make themselves feel better about not doing more to help.
