I paid to do a faction and server xfer, and the server one seems to have gone through (the cogwheel went from saying server to faction xfer processing) and since that time 5 hours has passed…this is one of my few nights to play and I xferred since all my friends went horde…is there any issue in the xfer system? I’ve usually had xfers take like half an hour max.

Faction xfers definitely bugged with no response from blizzard. Bought mine 6 hours ago still nothing. Been saying “1hour left” for 6 hours now. I did 2 server xfers and they went through almost immediately.

Yep… few other threads on this. In the same boat. Started transfer shortly after the servers went up and have been stuck with an increasing queue that started at 3 minutes. Needs Blizzard attention but it seems the “official answer” here is that nothing is wrong unless it takes over 72 hours.

I have never had one take more than about half an hour. I hate the copy and paste response of “it can take up to 72 hours”. Clearly there’s a glitch going on here.

Yep. It appears that anyone who initiated it during a certain time window are stuck and will need intervention. Pretty lame considering this was one of my nights to play.
Same…even more annoying because in SL so far my shaman is the only char I really enjoy playing, and it’s the one locked up

Yeah did a faction change on my warrior 4.5 hours ago and still nothing. Estimated time was 1 hour 
I am experiencing this same issue as well.
Initiated a transfer around 4:30 EST. It is now almost 10:30 EST and have been stuck at “Processing…Your character transfer is being processed. Estimated time: 1 min” for almost the entirety of that time with a completed status in my transaction history.

Yeah, tried using the free character transfer service from a high pop realm to a lower pop one, been stuck for about 6 hours now.
same problem… taking over 6 hours now too! saying “54 minutes left”
Same problem. At almost 6.5 hours with the estimated time being 15 minutes since the start.
Woke up and the estimated wait time for my processed request is now 8 hours and 44 mins which if that time is correct would put it at almost exactly 24 hours since the request was initiated…
Same problem for me, bought mine last night around 0630pm, que time was 2hrs, and now its still not finished with a que time of 5.5hrs lol.
same issue here been well over 10 hours and has been stuck at 58 min. I transfered because I couldn’t loot my great vault and now I haven’t even been able to play sucks for us casual players that barely have any time to play.
Also have had a ticket open for same time and the time keeps adding up instead this is ridiculous.
Ticket times isn’t a count down to when it’ll be answered. It’s just the given time on when the last ticket was answered.
Yup, im now going to be over 24 hours as well based on their estimate. I’ve a ticket in, but im curious as a programmer how this kind of kink happens. I feel like it’d be a very easy process to transfer chars given that we’re all just various data values in a database. One intern could write a script to pass our values off to the new server and then for faction swaps its mostly just dropping achieves / getting quests set up…any faction quests just get turned to a false for completion and set the opposite faction equivalent to true…i dont know…im just sad i basically cant play for a few days when i only get so much time anway

I am having the same exact issue. Hopefully a blue can shed some light on the matter. I have never had a faction change take more than a couple hours in the past.
My ticket got a response, but on their end everything looks normal and just have to wait it out i guess
