So, around ~three hours ago of making this post (5AM EST), I put in a character faction transfer for my paladin on Mal’Ganis.
I’ve since been patiently waiting, as I really want to group with some of my friends (new and old) but it seems to be stuck.
If I swap realms, or relog, the zone of the paladin will quickly change from Boralus to Zuldazar.
I’m not worried about my money being wasted, but rather would like to know if others are having similar issues with battle.net services, and if I should just go to bed (graveyard shift, it’s basically my evening) instead of waiting to try and farm some of the new currencies for essences with some of my friends?
You’re definitely not the only one with issues. I’ve been waiting about 5 hrs for my faction transfer, and it’s either been stuck on “Estimated time: 8 minutes” or showing “Faction Change Error.”
A few other friends are in the same boat too.
I’ve resolved to just go to bed, and check before I head into work tonight.
I also opened a ticket, but I can’t help but feel that somehow the pandemic is related, but as far as I’m aware, the process is completely automated once you hit the payment button.
I’ve been waiting 28 hours, I submitted a ticket and they said “It can take up to 24 hours for character services to process especially during this time since more people are staying home and playing games. If the problem persists after 24 hours then get back in touch and we’ll take another look”. I guess it time for me to reply to the ticket
Same issue. I just started the wait though, like a few hours ago.
Can we get a free bnet change soon because of stuff like this?

Just wanted to pop in to say this is being looked into. I’m not sure if this was caused by the earlier DDOS or not, but I’ll be sure to pass along whatever updates I get.
I’m having the same issue. My estimated wait time was 58 minutess, 5 hours ago.
What’s concerning is that in my transaction history it says “Complete”
Same issue here…has said 45-48 mins on the cog symbol for well over 3 hrs now…Popiburns-Area 52
Another +1 here; been stuck at the same time estimate for a couple of hours.
Also have this issue, as posted above the concerning part is the status says complete. The charge has already been sent and approved. However that do say that the service could take up to 24 hours. Just wish they would not mark it complete so the charge goes thru and they have not even done the service.

Same here. Cogwheel says 1 hour 33 minutes been waiting for 3 hours now. Literally went to a restaurant to get some drinks and food got back went to the liquor store and got groceries and still not done. I remember back in the day I opened a ticket and they wernt busy and it got done in less than a minute… I know they are experiencing some issues but when I pay $55 for a faction change and server xfer I dont expect it to take all day. I wanna play my main charcter

Agreed, sorry not ETA, but at least more than “we will pass it along” … over 2 hours ago wouldn’t suck either…
3 of us tried to initiate transfer last night to a new server and make the faction switch, all 12h+ so far, given that it cost $6 less than a boost, needs to be fixed
ASAP. $74 is premium money for a premium service, if you are unable to achieve these services to the standard people are paying for (whether this is due to COVID-19 with no end in sight at this stage or DDOS issues which have been ongoing for a number of days now) then perhaps an interim pricing solution is in order. pretty rough if I’ve paid $74 to be locked out of playing a character I already pay a subscription to play…

If it has not been working… they need to disable the ability to buy it.
