I would love to see a faction change come with tbc i like ally ok but would love to roll a hordie for bc with out having to boost and be able to keep my professions and stuff…

Translation - I want to join the other fotm rerollers who are already pilling into the bandwagon to horde for their vastly superior TBC racials…and I want blizzard to streamline the process and make it painfully easy. Also in WotLK I want to be able to xfer back to alliance and then race change to human.

This is people asking for a faction change sound like.

Yep put in it. And its not only for their racials I want to farm/quest in the open world atm on herod its not gonna happen

I want it because I wanted to go horde initially with launch, but friends went alliance. They all quit and I was stuck with a dead character now that I went Horde.

Its qol thing I want to play in the open world not get 10v1d by some horde keyboard turners.

Then go to a PVE server.

And to say that it’ll cause every server to just be horde, it is already the case. I know guilds that all rerolled Horde once TBC was announced.

Its the people piling into one faction for the racials that creates this environment where tons of one faction exist on a server and the other faction is drastically lower.

I’m ok with faction changes ONLY in one direction. And if you faction change, you cannot transfer unless you are transferring to a server with a lower faction representation.

So since I play Alliance on a horde dominated server I never get to have odds in my favour while 10 horde trashcans on herod never experience fair pvp? cool.

Also servers are already super unbalanced due to server transfers all faction change is doing is making it alittle worse.

If Blizzard cared that much about population/factions on servers, go look at Incendius. A server that was originally 60% Ally/ 40% horde with 12k+ raiding population, lost nearly every single Horde player in 24 hours of free server transfers opening up. I think last I looked Sulfuras was down to ~2k raiding pop.

This is a player generated issue that was amplified when blizzard added server transfers without faction restrictions. Faction change would only make this worse unless it only goes in one direction.

And well…most people getting a faction change want it for better racials and a population disparity so they can join the 9 other keyboard turners while they gank the guy doing his quests.

Also you aren’t the only mage on that server playing alliance.
